I am also applying for WHNP class 148. I have many years of experience in LD, but feel the same as you do about my resume - it looks sporifice. I have completed my essays and am all ready to mail my packet in.

After much thought I think I am going to go ahead and just apply. I spoke to an admissions advisor and she said I should be good to apply with what I do have. This is the only WHNP I've looked into so I plan on just applying here and to an FNP program as well. WHNP is my first choice though so I'm hoping I get accepted. Is FNU the only schools you're applying to?

FNU is my top school. Pulled the plug and sent my application. Have been debating applying to Uni of South Alabama as well, as a back up, as I want to get started asap.

Spoke with another gal who is wanting to apply to class 148. She was told to wait to send her application in until she had completed her last class of her BSN. My last class ends Jan 31, so not sure if that is going to affect my chances of acceptance or not. Told my husband - it is what it is, as I have already submitted my application and packet going in mail tomorrow. Time will tell. If it does then I will have to wait for Class 151.

I applied a week or two ago too and have been totally stalking the boards on here. By the looks of it, I think we might find out in Jan if we get in. Feels like such a long time to wait! Thank god for the holidays !

I just got my BSN last week so I'm waiting on my final transcript to arrive so I can send my packet in. I'm glad there's a few of us on here that are applying.

One of my past coworkers is currently working on her CNM/WHNP through FNU. She got a job on L/D right after getting her ASN and worked for a year while finishing her BSN. She started right after her BSN graduation with only that one year of experience. Hopefully things work out for you guys the way you're hoping for!

Hope I didn't stab myself in the foot by sending my application in before my BSN was completed. I did get the e-mail from B Jones that they got my application.

They seem to be really good about letting us know when there's a problem. They needed clarification on my physical assessment course and it felt like I heard about it only a few days after I mailed in my package. I'm sure they will let you know. If anything, you might just get bumped back one class while they wait for your information. It will be ok. :)

Who all did you use for references? I have one more to fill. I'm in between a great co worker who is now a WHNP, or one of my great attending OB/GYN. Do you all think one is at more advantage than the other? Or doesn't really matter?
