  1. Hi momof3lv, I wasn't able to be registered either until I had my primary clinical site selected. It seems a little odd having to find someone so soon but I believe it was because students were having a difficult time locating sites when the time came. I was able to find a preceptor this soon though.
  2. I will be starting the program in May 2016 as well! How difficult is this first foundations course? For those of you all that have already started. I'm getting nervous, nursing school all over again. Eeek.
  3. I called up there yesterday with the same question. They can tell you up until a week before frontier bound.
  4. i haven't heard anything yet either. Monday was 6 weeks from the frontier bound date so hopefully we hear something very soon, like tomorrow... Wishfully thinking!
  5. Well today came and went and nothing! Hopefully we hear something very soon
  6. We should be hearing something soon right?! í ½í¸¬
  7. Anyone else from Texas applying? Or know of anyone that has completed the program and able to be licensed to practice in Texas? I recently heard not all schools meet certain state's requirements to practice. Just wondering if this is correct?
  8. So just got word all my paperwork has made it in to Frontier for class 148. Now the waiting game that I'm not very good at. 😁 Best wishes to you all!!!
  9. Thanks for the replies I've also heard An NP would be preferred so just double checking
  10. Who all did you use for references? I have one more to fill. I'm in between a great co worker who is now a WHNP, or one of my great attending OB/GYN. Do you all think one is at more advantage than the other? Or doesn't really matter?
  11. I just got my BSN last week so I'm waiting on my final transcript to arrive so I can send my packet in. I'm glad there's a few of us on here that are applying.
  12. Best wishes to you! Just waiting on one more transcript and I'll have my packet complete and ready to send off. Hopefully we will get in together!
  13. Puddles, After much thought I think I am going to go ahead and just apply. I spoke to an admissions advisor and she said I should be good to apply with what I do have. This is the only WHNP I've looked into so I plan on just applying here and to an FNP program as well. WHNP is my first choice though so I'm hoping I get accepted. Is FNU the only schools you're applying to? Gensrn12
  14. I haven't heard much about UTA FNP program at all, I've known several who have completed Texas Tech's program and worked full time with no problem. While doing research I came across it UTA and am applying as well. I'm applying for the Feburary 2016 start. I too work in Labor and Delivery and really want to end up working in women's health(whether I be a FNP or WHNP)so I am also looking into Frontier Nursing University WHNP. I've read so many good things about that program. So just to have options I will be applying to both. I would love to know what you decided on :) Please keep us updated!
  15. Hi everyone I'm looking for some insight to this program. I am looking to apply for class 148 to start in 2016. I have a 3.6 GPA and 3 years experience in L&D. I am BLS, ACLS, NRP certified as well as CEU's in breastfeeding. I don't have much else to add to my resume. I feel like it doesn't contain enough. Has anyone else applied with a similar resume? Anyone else applying to class? Thanks in advance
