Is anyone applying? I applied to the FNP program. I know it will be a long wait, so I thought I would see if anyone will be waiting with me! lol

Class 136 has their Frontier Bound in the beginning of March 2015.

First, good luck to all of you!

Second, as someone who was where you are now a while back, your best bet for your own health is to find something else to occupy your time. The admissions folks work very hard to try to meet their projected dates, but sometimes application pools are larger or someone on the committee is unavailable for unseen reasons, or whatever and the dates have to be pushed back. They will notify you guys by email (unless that has changed) as soon as the list is finalized, and no amount of checking your emails will change when that happens (believe me I have personal experience on that one, hitting refresh over and over again didn't help).

I don't have anything to do with the admissions process, and I have had discussions with some of the administration of the school about what it's like and how they might improve the process from a prospective students perspective, but for whatever logistical reason, it hasn't materially improved. The good part of that (in my opinion), is that they truly do spend a significant amount of time reviewing all of your application and pick a diverse student body.

It is worth the wait, even if one needs an occasional ativan to cope! j/k

well, still no word here in Oklahoma. I bet they wait til Friday so nobody can call them crying! LOL

I emailed today, and was told decisions will hopefully be out by the middle of next week. I have applied to the Midwifery program.

Thanks so much for that! You're right; it's not going to help obsessing with emails. However, I am coming from Boise and worry about plane tickets being so ridiculous the closer we get (if I get in that is). Anyway, I am glad that they take the time to be selective. That speaks volumes for quality of the program. If it's not meant to be for me this time around, then I'll try again later. I'm in no rush.

So, yesterday I got an email from Frontier and I thought, "Here it is". Unfortunately, it was only a marketing email about the school. Have a wonderful weekend to all!

I'm sorry to hear that it was only a marketing email. I have mentioned to them on several occasions how it is not only stressful for applicants but also the costs of the air travel are impacted by the relative closeness of the announcements. I know that several higher ups have been attempting to improve the process, but for whatever reason it hasn't seem to have made it that much better.

Trust me when I say they aren't playing with you, waiting until the weekend, or anything like that. It simply is the fastest they can make very important decisions that will affect every applicants futures. They take the decision very seriously and try to be very thorough in considering each applicant individually.

I have been checking my email all day, too... just like I was all last week, and probably the week before that. This is a super crazy time in my life personally (selling my house, preping for a military move, this) I would just like for one thing to be set in stone! lol

I know they closed this application period early. I hope we have some resolution soon!
