Hi
I was wondering if any former or current students of Frontier's Midwifery program could give me a little feedback. I saw on the website that it said to prepare to spend 50 hours a week studying and doing homework. I am wondering how accurate this is and how hard the program is. Thanks.

Hi,
Yes, being a full time student at Frontier does take a lot of time. Some weeks more than others. If you are worried about the commitment you can always start full time and change to part time after the first term. The advisers are great and very supportive. When I was at orientation (Frontier Bound) we sat down and wrote out a 'mock' schedule to see if full or part time works with your life. Also, if you stay organized and not wait to the last minute things seem to go a lot smoother... like all of life! haha! Good luck! Its a great program!

Hi, does anyone know if you take statistics at FNU if that gives you a better chance of getting accepted to the CNM program? I am an RN BSN with medsurg and case management experience but being a midwife is my dream. My gpa was a 3.6, any advice on the application process or any other info would be appreciated.

Currently in my third term. Some classes require more time then others, but a lot of it depends on your own study habits and how much you put into it. This is a program that requires a lot of time and dedication. If you are not willing to put the effort in, then I would not apply.
