Hands down Frontier. The cost is less, and it is ranked #1 in the nation for CNM. When you graduate from Frontier you will be ready to take & pass your certification boards.

I can't speak for Georgetown, but can for Frontier. I just graduated in February & passed boards. Frontier is a great school for becoming a CNM, it is ranked #1. Before I started at FNU I had looked at both of these, and the cost of Georgetown was double FNU and not worth it. FNU has a lot of history and you will make wonderful friends (who you will need throughout the program). It is a very intensive program, but once you complete it you are more than ready for your certification board exam. The faculty are great and easy to talk to if you are struggling.

AspiringNurseMW - sorry it took so long to reply! I have enjoyed Frontier so far. Actually, my classes start back on Monday and I start the midwifery classes! :) So I am especially excited. I have made some really good friends, who I meant while at Frontier Bound. You will meet many wonderful people at frontier bound but you will have a special bond with a select few and that aspect is extremely helpful. Reason being, is it can be stressful!! And it is nice knowing someone is going through it with you. Someone that you can lean on, and cry to if need be. And yes, I have had a melt down. On that note though, so I don't scare you. I work fulltime and do school time and have children and a husband. I might be a little crazy...lol. Anymore questions...feel free to ask! :) Always happy to help.

Currently in my third term. Some classes require more time then others, but a lot of it depends on your own study habits and how much you put into it. This is a program that requires a lot of time and dedication. If you are not willing to put the effort in, then I would not apply.

I am currently in my third term at Frontier, I just turned 33. I should be finishing up my MSN when I am 34. :)

I have not completed the program but I am currently finishing up my third term. :) The education up to this point is very good, but it requires a lot of time and dedication. If you do not put in the time you will fail the program. However, on that note...the teachers are wonderful and easy to get along with. The professors seem to really care about each student and wants you to succeed. On the Georgetown note, I looked at their program also but it is crazy expensive!!

Mamagui, I believe off the top of my head it was a junior level. However I took it in 2011. I did not have to send in my syllabus for approval. I took my statistics class at Oklahoma Panhandle State University, they have an online class you can take. They do not charge out of state tuition.

Are you talking about a graduate statistics class or a BSN class? When I applied to FNU for class 119, all I did was mail in all the required documents and my transcript showed that I had taken a statistics class (3 credit hours) for my BSN. I was accepted, and start classes in January.

Frontier offers a Women's Health NP and also just a Family NP. So it might be worth checking out.

Frontier Nursing University offers a DNP and they do not require you to take the GRE.
