Anyone out there applying to this class?

Hello, I am applying to the FNP class 155. Anyone else doing FNP? I'm so excited!

I'm doing CNM but excited for all of us applying!

I am doing cnm as well.

I applied for class 155 WHCNP! So excited and nervous. Always thought I'd do CNM but years of L&D has made me realize I do not want to do deliveries. I do want to do women's health though! Soooo excited! Any idea of how long it takes to hear if we are accepted? How competitive is it?

It usually is around 8 weeks before frontier bound. I was accepted before, but turned down acceptance as I was pregnant with my daughter.

Oh...well I hope you get accepted again!

Hi! I have also applied for FNP class 155! Super nervous and not looking forward to this wait! I have been stalking these forums since I was in undergrad. Frontier is my top choice and the only school I have applied to so far. Good luck to all of us!

Hello all,

I've been offline from Allnurses.com for a number of years now, but recently reignited my passion for nursing after working in the insurance/risk management world for the last 4 years. I worked as a L&D nurse a few years ago and had to leave due to health reasons that resolved and two babies in under 2 years. Now, I am seriously considering pursuing my MSN and getting back into scrubs.

Presently, I am working on my application packet to Frontier's Class 157 CNM program. I am interested in hearing from you lovely folks on your experience and the process as it moves along. I am excited and feel renewed again.

What is killing me slowly is putting together a solid portfolio (i have a BA in a field other than nursing) without having written or published any articles or received any fancy awards. I hope they can see my bright smile and hopeful heart while reviewing my application.

I wish all the best to you all applying (and already accepted to Frontier). :)

Me too....I think it take 6 weeks to receive word

I know I don't shine compared to some...I can only hope my passion was felt in my essay!

Annachu512 this is my exact fear!!! I have only been a nurse for 2 years and have no experience in any type of fetal or maternal care outside of clinicals. While writing my resume I couldn't help but to feel inadequate compared to some of the applicants I've seen in various posts. Like you, I'm hoping my passion stands out and they accept students based on more than just experience. Good luck!!

Yes, I applied to class 155 CNM. I think they email acceptances sometimes within the next couple of weeks. Have you heard anything regarding the specific day?
