Frontier Class 176 for CNM and previous classes that were accepted for admission

Published

Hello!!

Is anyone else applying for class 176 for Frontier? I am hoping to chat with nurses that are going to apply and previous nurses that were accepted into the program. The deadline is May 9th, how long does the university typically take to send out acceptance emails? I am planning on applying to other programs and even though Frontier is my first choice I do not want to miss an opportunity if accepted somewhere else. Also can anyone speak to how the application is weighted? I have my MSN in education from WGU, which i completed in 16 months. My ADN GPA was great but my RN-BSN GPA was not so great (RN classes were great) however I had went to that university prior to starting nursing school at my community college to get my ADN which is why my total GPA for that school is not the best. Will that weigh into their decision factors? I have a great letters of recommendations coming from a current co-worker, previous co-worker and my academic advisor from my MSN program. This is something I have wanted to do my entire left and I hope that my poor decisions from a freshman does not hinder my goals. Also anyone who is in the program now how are the classes, challenging? Does the instructors help? What about clinical placement, does the school assist with finding preceptors? Thanks for all of your input. I hope to see/speak with all of you soon

I heard they admit 64 total students per term. That can be any combo of FNP/CNM/WHNP students. And I'm also from MN :)

I'm from MN too!! Thanks for the update on total number of admitted students. I've been wondering about that. Is anyone else anxious about hearing back?

Yes! I just want to know already! They're my first choice. What part of MN do you live in?

I live in the west metro & work in urgent care. What part of MN do you live in & what area do you work in?

Is anyone else starting to get crazy anxious? Today makes three weeks since application cycles closed (but who's counting) I have heard in the past that sometimes people have heard back within three weeks. Also 64 students? That seems crazy given the amount of applications that I believe they receive for each specialty. Has anyone heard anymore info yet??

We will not hear back until mid to late June, no later July 1st. It's usually 6 to 8 weeks before Frontier Bound that they start sending out admissions decisions. I know this because I am in the Facebook group Frontier Nursing University Hopefuls and it was mentioned there. If you are not already in that FB group, you should join! Always great info in there.

I got accepted to another post masters program, so thats one spot at frontier that just opened up! goodluck ladies!

Did anyone get an email about the physical assessment class? on whether or not u need to take it? im still waiting on my acceptance too..

No did not get that email. My physical assessment is only 6 years old though. My statistics I am almost sure I will have to take over. It's a little over 10 years old but they have not emailed me about it yet.
