Frontier Class 176 for CNM and previous classes that were accepted for admission
Is anyone else starting to get crazy anxious? Today makes three weeks since application cycles closed (but who's counting) I have heard in the past that sometimes people have heard back within three weeks. Also 64 students? That seems crazy given the amount of applications that I believe they receive for each specialty. Has anyone heard anymore info yet??

Hi Janelle! Nice to meet you. I dont think the OB experience weighs as heavily as other things. I have heard of some students getting in with no OB experience. Have you finished your admissions packet yet? I am just going over my essays for spelling and grammar and should be ready to mail out by the end of this week. March is flying by so fast. I want to get mine in ASAP. Fingers crossed for both of us!!! It would be nice to keep in contact with you through the application journey.

Frontier Class 176 for CNM and previous classes that were accepted for admission
Hello!! Is anyone else applying for class 176 for Frontier? I am hoping to chat with nurses that are going to apply and previous nurses that were accepted into the program. The deadline is May 9th, how long does the university typically take to send out acceptance emails? I am planning on applying to other programs and even though Frontier is my first choice I do not want to miss an opportunity if accepted somewhere else. Also can anyone speak to how the application is weighted? I have my MSN in education from WGU, which i completed in 16 months. My ADN GPA was great but my RN-BSN GPA was not so great (RN classes were great) however I had went to that university prior to starting nursing school at my community college to get my ADN which is why my total GPA for that school is not the best. Will that weigh into their decision factors? I have a great letters of recommendations coming from a current co-worker, previous co-worker and my academic advisor from my MSN program. This is something I have wanted to do my entire left and I hope that my poor decisions from a freshman does not hinder my goals. Also anyone who is in the program now how are the classes, challenging? Does the instructors help? What about clinical placement, does the school assist with finding preceptors? Thanks for all of your input. I hope to see/speak with all of you soon

RN pay for Washington/relocation
Hello everyone! My husband and I are looking to relocate to the WA area in the Summer of 18'. I wanted to inquire about offers for RN's and benefits at the hospitals. I have been a nurse for two years so by time we move it would be three years. I work in L&D so i would like to stay in that area :) I am open to hearing about other hospitals/pay/benefits/magnet status in the surrounding areas are. Also what is the COL? What are the good and bad areas to live in? I have two children. My son will be starting kindergarten and my daughter preschool when we move. Give me all the details of everything. I am also looking for hospitals that treat their nurses well. Thanks for all your help!!!

LDRP RN Scrub nurses get differential?
Hello everyone!! We are upcoming on our contract year at our hospital and in the middle of negotiations. I am wondering for those RN's that are scrub trained and capable of going to the OR for c-sections or other procedures. Do you receive differential pay for this? The nurses on our FBC are advocating for this because it is an additional skill set, and training. If you do can you please tell me how much diff you receive and what hospital/location you work at? Thanks so much!!

should I disclose arrest record to Wyoming BON?
Hello Everyone! So im in a bit of a dilema. I was arrested at the age of 20 and to be honest I do not remember specifically what the charges were for. I just know that the charges were knocked down from a misdeameanor to a traffic infraction and the case was sealed. So Im in nursing school and im looking at the Wyoming BON application and they say to disclose all arrests, convictions etc. Well I was never convicted and I was unsure so I did a background check on myself through the FBI where you have to send in fingerprints. and the FBI sent back to me in results: A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. So my question is whether or not I have to say yes or disclose information on the question where you ever have been arrested or convicted. Like I said before I wasn't convicted, but I was pretty sure my arrest record would show up and I was surprised when it did not. So now I am totally confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks!
