Front Range Community College January 2015 start

Published

Just wondering if anyone else was applying to the Front Range Community College ADN program to start in January 2015. Just submitted my application. Finished all my prereqs, took the HESI, and the Elementary Algebra Accuplacer. That was an annoying surprise -- I didn't know the MAT 030 prereqs were going to be required in the application. They keep changing what they want. I went to the last admissions info session this spring, and they said they were no longer requiring A&PII, but then they kind of required it for this admissions cycle.

Anyway, fingers crossed.

Yea, I feel like I should just stay with FRCC since I already committed a year and a half to doing the prereqs for it. That seems like one of the difficult things with nursing school -- the prereqs are so different from school to school, AND they are constantly changing. It's sort of an irritating system if you want to apply to different schools.

Are you going to do a transfer or the dual enrollment thing with UNC? They just started the UNC dual enrollment program this fall, I think.

Hello, im new to this blog and to Colorado. I too am going to attend the nursing program at FRCC Larimer. I am more than interested in any information anyone has about this school's program. I will be applying for the fall 2016 smester next year and hope to do dual enrollment with another Colorado university. Does anyone know how the dual enrollment works?

I am enrolled in the fall 2015 FRCC program and the dual enrollment looks promising. I was originally trying for my BSN and kept getting wait listed at all the programs I applied to. Switched and applied to 3 ADN programs and got accepted to all 3. I think the online dual enrollment with UCCS would be the best option because you start the classes the summer between 2nd and 3rd semester then you finish at the same time you finish your ADN so you graduate with a BSN at the same time! At least that is my understanding of that specific dual enrollment program. I hope you are enjoying the program so far!

Following this thread! I start with the ADN class at Arapahoe next month. I have already applied and been accepted to Denver Metro for duel enrollment, and am curious if anyone else has done this. I was thinking I would either slide over to Metro after/during my ADN program or find an accredited online bachelors program and work as an RN during?

Hi, I just applied to Front Range for their Spring 2015 round and am a little worried about my ranking score. Do you happen to know what the average ranking score is for those who are accepted to the program?

Specializes in Med Surg/Ortho.

I finally finished my prereqs. I will be taking the Hesi exam here soon, and applying to Fall of 2016. Anyone else applying for the same term? Or perhaps starting right now, Spring 2016?

Hi everyone!

I have been accepted to the Spring 2017 nursing program at FRCC's Larimer campus and I wanted to know what the experience of nursing students from that program has been. Do a lot of people fail? Is it unreasonably difficult?

The reason I ask is that I attended a nursing program in Florida that failed WAY more students than they passed. My class started with 110 students and only 12 made it to the following semester despite all of their best efforts.

Please let me know what the program is like. Thanks in advance! RIqlf6xfRizM7PQT3FBXkl5XUurGNqaaytKy3AI
