  1. Hey Simplistic, hindsight is 20/20. Way to be rude and unhelpful. 0.5GPA, I highly recommend taking a college success course, changing your study approach, and trying again. I have seen people fail, then try again, and become RNs. I even know people who had failed an entire program, transferred, then passed and became RNs. There is hope, just keep trying! I suggest the Test Success book and Fundamentals Success book for study skills and practice questions.
  2. Hey there! Yes, I ordered the uniform. It was about $53.00 or so for the pants, shirt, and sewn on patch. The girl at Encore told me it would be a few weeks for my stuff to come in. It sounds like they kind of drag their feet on getting these uniforms in, so I would try to go right away. Yes, I am worried about the completion rate also. I hope it's not because the program is too tough or something. I hope that if we put in our best effort, we will make it through!
  3. Hi Reiny76! Yes, I am at the Larimer campus too. Congrats to you also! I did get an email from Professor Jane Beard that included the syllabus for our Nursing Fundamentals class. So, I do have kind of an idea on where to start. I am reading the vitals section of the Fundamentals book for now. Do you know what kind of shoes we are supposed to wear?
  4. The HESI book at the Harmony library helped me pass. I also used one from Elsevier that is available at Barnes and Noble. I'm sure you'll do great! Don't sweat it! :) Admission Assessment Exam Review / Edition 4 by HESI | 978
  5. Hi Satori77! Thanks for all of the insight you posted. I am starting the program in January of 2017 and I am really nervous! Do you have any suggestions on what I should do now to prepare for the program? I started reading the fundamentals book, but it would be good if I had a little more direction on exactly what to study. Does it seem like a lot of people fail even when they put forth the effort? I hope you have a wonderful break and holiday! Thanks. :)
  6. Consider other schools. Broward has a very low program completion rate.
  7. Broward College is a nightmare. Go somewhere else.
  8. Your PCP needs to give it to you.
  9. They are a nightmare, and if you can, go to another program before you even bother failing at Broward. The completion rate is extremely low. Trust me. My class started with over 100 people, and only 12 made it to GIGU.
  10. Hi everyone! I have been accepted to the Spring 2017 nursing program at FRCC's Larimer campus and I wanted to know what the experience of nursing students from that program has been. Do a lot of people fail? Is it unreasonably difficult? The reason I ask is that I attended a nursing program in Florida that failed WAY more students than they passed. My class started with 110 students and only 12 made it to the following semester despite all of their best efforts. Please let me know what the program is like. Thanks in advance!
