Hey All,I'm applying for jobs and wondering what HR searches for when they consider you for a job in the time from the interview to the actual job offer. Criminal checks? Background checks? What information do they obtain from your school? Just the transcript or do they search for you on your school's directory also?
Thanks.
Once you receive a job offer, HR does all of the above. The do background checks that include criminal, social security, sexual offender, ect. They ask for a copy of your diploma, but they still request transcripts to verify you graduated. It really depends on the school. But the background check and transcripts, ect are standard.
I received a job offer earlier this week and I was never asked for transcripts or proof of my diploma. I think having a license already maybe spells it out for them that I graduated from somewhere? I have no idea what credentials or references were checked between the interview and the offer. I actually thought the interview didn't go so well, I was surprised to get get an offer!
