Scope and Standards for Nurse Administrators, Second Edition

is now available.

The book is a key resource for both nursing leadership professional development and the Magnet Hospital application process. This updated version addresses in its scope statement the two levels of nursing administration practice -- executives and managers -- across all settings, along with the required licensure, education, and experience.

When we went for magnet status our CNO had to go back to school to get her BSN (she already has a BS and an MA - but was a diploma grad) because that is what they require. Very interesting reading.
