Friends. 😤

I'm a nursing student in my first semester. I'm currently taking pharmacology and pathophysiology. One of my college roommates is a criminal justice major, and the other still hasn't decided a major. They're constantly telling me "you study too much," or "it can't be that bad" or "you're always in the library!" or (MY PERSONAL FAVORITE) "ha you think your classes are hard? French 5 is worse." (Let me add that her other classes are religion and Intro to psyc)

Are you kidding me? 😐

I feel like they're trying to make me feel like nursing is no big deal and anyone can do it. I don't think they get just how much work it is. And that no matter how many hours you put in studying each day, it's still not enough. Especially since I'm taking patho and pharm together right now, god it's a nightmare.

It just bothers me that they act like I'm making nursing school seem harder than it actually is, when in reality, I don't study nearly as much as I wish I did.

Anyone who has not gone through or is currently attending nursing school will never understand. Just stick with your classmates if you can, form study groups with them, and ignore the rest. If it bothers you too much, get new roomates. The bond you create with your classmates will surpass any relationship you have with your current roomies (it's just a different kind of bond..), so keep your head in the game and just keep moving forward. Like someone else before me said, once you have that RN after your name and are making good money, that's when they'll understand. ;)
