friend had great pay and decent experience

Hello!

Had a few comments/questions regarding travel nursing. I'm preparing to start travel nursing this summer with the possibility of doing this long term. Fellow nurses of mine have had recent experience doing this and loved it. One just came back from Florida and was bringing home $1700-$1900/week. Now, from most of the posts on here I don't see anyone getting that kind of pay. Why? She had a few minor issues with the company but stated basically it came down to recruiter errors. Another nurse went to California a few years back and made major bucks. I would be lying if I said that money wasn't a major motivator in my decision, but also the chance to travel and all the new experiences. So what are your thoughts on pay? I have a handful of agencies I have been or will be in touch with: Aureus, Nightingale, Healthcare Seeker, PHP, and Expedient. A couple of these companies are the ones my friends used. Any thoughts???:nurse:

Had horrible experience with Flexicare Medical which we (another traveler) assumed was a great company to work. Our contracts were screwed up and broken by the company(recruiter), the hospital was highly dysfunction, wasted enomorous amounts of paper and resources that was insane, and staffing office expected you to float to areas outside your competency level (fully aware and Flexicare was okay with it), and we lost out on a week's pay without wages compensation. Will not recommend this company at all. Many other travelers licensed in CA worked with Century which pays just the same or a little bit more and had good reviews by the travelers in the CA area.

Whaaat?/ You mustve had the wrong recruiter because according to someone in this thread, they only have your best interest at heart & "nothing beats Flexcare!" They will even explain the contract 5 times and treat you like a real person (not that a real person would need explaining 5 times).

Are you sure youre not just a disgruntled employee? This is your 1st post and all.. Look what other "experienced traveler's have said"

"I always felt like "just another nurse" with other companies, I felt rushed and no one took the time to explain to me how things work or how the pay packages work......she did, she explained it to me at least 5 times before I 100% understood and I felt confident knowing that my best interest was in good hands!!"

79 Tango. You are a representative for this company and have no place on this forum (could tell by how you responded to my posting). For you to try to discredit every comment on this forum after experienced travelers nurses which worked all over the country, dealt with this company firsthand and experienced poor organization, is petty.
