Stars I'm glad the money was found for the bills and that your BIL is proving so  helpful.  I hope the guardianship can be changed quickly

Well yesterday was initially even worse at work because I got yet another new case.  Started a half hour early and worked through lunch, going quick but trying not to rush, and I did end up getting done on time.  Today should be pretty good, as long as I don't get another ton of new work

After work was tired so I skipped exercise and just did the laundry and had an extra large white Russian

That evening I did find a new car on the dealership's web site that I liked, so I reached out to a sales manager and will be going to the dealership tonight.  The car will not arrive for a few weeks, but we will discuss financing and putting it on reserve so I can try it out when it arrives

Will be another cooler day in the upper 50s, although the rain should hold off

66 degrees and rainy-ish, with a occasional sunshine. We are supposed to get thunderstorms this afternoon, if Mother Nature agrees with the meteorologists.

I stayed up late, and after I went to sleep I woke up every hour; finally after 5 AM I conked out for the duration, Got up at 10:30, dressed, and took care of the dog. Then my brother-in-law came by to check to see if the overnight charging 'took' on the Ford. I can not get over how NICE he is after all those years of him being crabby and hateful with hubby! Hooray for the right medicine to get him to be the "New! Improved!" brother-in-law.

Right now I am having coffee and trying to wake up. UGH.

Good Morning. Mid 50s, threatening rain, but none so far. I took the dogs for a long walk; they are getting much better at moving at a steady pace and not tangling their leashes. Now they are spread on the couch and snoring. I wanted to go look at bikes, but I don't have the heart to wake them up and shut them in the bathroom. Dh is volunteering at the food bank today. I suppose I could take them with me and leave them in the car, but I'm afraid they might attack the upholstery. I don't have a crate big enough for both of them. We were going to go to Seattle for the weekend, but ds has a driving gig and will be gone all day tomorrow. Oh well. Maybe we'll drive down Sunday, just for a day trip.

Something I will never do again: go out to the grocery store without taking Momo or having someone sit with her. When I got back she yipped and shrilled in my ear; I took her outside while I brought in the emptied trash barrel, which makes a horrible noise on the driveway-cement. She yelped and squalled in my ear again because the noise scared her. Whew! Poor baby!

Since no papers we need have shown up in "The Search" yet, I will have to devote some of this weekend searching. Nobody called me from the Funeral Home yet. BiL stopped over there to find out about something....He said they had the death certificates in a folder on the lady's desk. They'll have to wait until Monday. Will have to drop some papers off at the lawyers office Monday, and once BiL and SiL see their lawyer, we;ll see about getting some of hubby's business straightened out. We have to find out how to eliminate the dgt from the guardianship, or whatever. I hope the my lawyer can do it for us!

Stars, I hope BIL is not a wolf in sheep's clothing and truly cares about helping you.  Don't spoil Momo like that.  Let her get used to you going off without her.  My Ellie would cry and whine and make me feel so bad for leaving her but she got over it.  She's in a new environment but she will get used to it and understand that you will be coming back.  Nothing like a happy dog glad to see their person come home.  In my opinion, do what you want obviously.  

Not much going on here.  I have the weekend off.  Management asked me to trade my Wednesday workday to come in Monday and I said no.  I like my four-day weekends.

Stars, I'm glad things came together with the bills. 

I won the chili cook-off today! There were only 4 entries. 

Stepson is lashing out at everyone, especially his cousin-guardian. He told her today that she is doing "the bare minimum" for him. He has no idea. He also told her that he was in a bad mood and sent a bunch of hateful texts to his dad. Hubs blocked him months ago so he hasn't seen those. I told him about that, though. I unblocked stepson but so far haven't heard anything from him.
