Welp, I am doing a load of laundry: hubby's bloody clothing. I may have to wash the load twice. I'll need some more spot treatments and detergent for the next laundry-day.
There are enormous blood stains on the driveway. Hubby has a black eye, and his nose is stuffed up and slightly swollen, not as bad to look at as W,C. Fields' honker, but his nose and the center of his forehead and center of his chin got scratched pretty badly. Of course he is sore and not very happy about the fall. He goes back to the doc on Monday mid-morning.
Hey, it is 85 degrees and windy today, and you know about the sunshine- thing being bright!
Guess I better feed the birds, maybe not quite so much as I have been. If it is getting hot, bugs will be coming out of where-ever they weather the Winter, so the birds will be able to find more of their own food.
See yez laydah!
Yeah, like I said last night, he wrecked his glasses, big-time! At least he has an old pair he can use. So here we are on Friday, and he has not made any calls about anything that needs to get taken care of and/or done.
So, NEXT WEEK (isn't it always 'next week'?) after his Dr's appt, I am going to go over a list of things that have to have his participation. If he needs some "structure", I'll give him some structure, by golly!
Oh, botherATION, No Stars! I guess the bright side is, no bones were broken. But the glasses! He will just have to heal up and wear his old glasses to boot. Ah, yes, NEXT week. It will get here.
I am doing some laundry, and made a trip to the grocery store for a few items I'd forgotten. Got some grits, too! Just got a taste for them, so will make them up sometime. I like them with butter and brown sugar. ? It's not truly "southern," I realize that. But that's how I like 'em.
I walked the track at the park, for 30 min. It was 62 degrees and clear. The mountains with their snow were beautiful, and there was a nice breeze! Saw some squirrels; the birds were flitting around; bees buzzed amongst the clover blossoms; I even saw a butterfly! I'm thinking they all think it's Spring here! Rain is forecast on Wed and Thurs but till then we should have clear skies and temps in the 60's.
We have no plans for tomorrow, except Zoom Sabbath School. We missed it last week, as we were doing music at the Desert Hot Springs church.
Sunday is the wedding of a friend's son. Haven't been to a wedding in a long time, looking forward to it. ?
I ordered some weight-lifting gloves. When I use my little weights (5#, 8#, and 10#), they get slippery as I sweat. Years ago, when I exercised regularly, I used water-ski gloves. They were thin and flexible and really gripped despite being sweaty. Dunno what ever happened to them, so I ordered these. I'm sure they will help.
Have a good evening!
Hi. I haven't done much today. Cleaned the bathrooms, folded some laundry. Trying to do reading for class, but can't concentrate. I'm having a cardiac ablation Monday, and I'm a little nervous. It was pouring rain earlier, but the sky is clearing, so maybe I'll go for a long walk to clear my head. dh volunteered at the food bank and he really seems to be enjoying it. I'm he's doing that a couple of days a week to get him out of bed and away from the TV.
Gosh NoStars, I wish I could wave a magic wand and fix your hubby. He doesn't seem invested in changing.
I liked grits when I had them in New Orleans. I had some with cheese, and some with pot roast and gravy. Sooo good.
My sister takes amiodorone, and I think it takes a week or 2 to load, and it has like a 60 day half life. It takes along time to get out of your system. And it has messed up her thyroid levels.

Stars I read Krakatoa a few months back, was a good book though very detailed. Too bad he fell again after not doing so for so long
Dianah I guess dapper would be considered formal
NJ22 nice to have a community garden, especially for those without space for a garden of their own
Tweety amiodarone usually takes a long time to work, though once I saw a patient convert from afib to sinus rhythm after just one dose
Work was not bad yesterday. Hoping that trend continues
Apart from work it was busy. Had virtual counseling during lunch. After work drove to my old neighborhood to join a Meetup group for a trivia night at a local brewery. Was fairly noisy there but it was pretty fun. Got back fairly late and went straight to bed
Tonight will be quieter, have laundry to do and a haircut scheduled. Also need to pick up some groceries that I forgot to get last time
Going to be in the mid 40s again with rain later tonight
