I got bonafide and Modernafied again today (second booster). I was putting it off (just out of laziness) but the CDC made it a requirement for HCP over 50 to be considered compliant so I decided to just get it done. My arm is mildly sore. Now I should probably consider the shingles vaccine. I had shingles at age 20 and it wasn't fun. I'd hate to have it around face/eyes like some people I've known.
Hoping Hubs will want to go out tonight, as it is our 33rd wedding anniversary. But realistically speaking he probably won't. Maybe he'll be up for some kind of outing tomorrow.
um... and the date is June 24, not 25! I just noticed that and for a moment thought I'd *missed* our anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Ado!
I got my 1st booster last September for a total of three but haven't got the fourth. I'm planning on waiting until September and probably make it a yearly thing. But I may change my mind if cases get out of hand. I'm back to wearing my N95 in public.
My ex-brother-in-laws dog is visiting for two weeks while he goes to Maine. She has a dental abscess and is on medication, but she ate her dinner well and is relaxing in her bed. She's been here before and my dogs have been at her house so everyone knows each other. But mostly they ignore one-another which is fine.
Happy Anniversary Ado! I hope you can celebrate if not tonight, then tomorrow. Even if its just a little sunset picnic.
I got booster #2 in April--both hubs and I have co-morbidities and 65 yo. And we both got covid at the end of May, but with minimal symptoms. And I will get another if and when its offered. I had shingles around my eye, so I've since gotten vaxed for that, and I got my pneumonia vax this Spring. Does it show that I work for public health, LOL?
Dd's dog is spending the weekend. Dh is not happy about it because she is quite exuberant, but she really is rather sweet. He wants to get a big dog, but when our kids' big dogs visit he fusses.
Youngest ds made dinner, mostly, last night using one of the Hello Fresh meals. I helped a little. I am hoping now that he see's how easy they are, he will do them more often.
Work is slow. I've been cleaning out files and discarding old forms and out of date guidelines. Makes me sneeze. The weather is beautiful, and 4 of us in the office went for a nice walk. I'm thinking it feels like a pizza kind of night.
Gave up trying to 'balance' the check-books, paid bills, had a grilled cheese sandwich for supper, watched the Braves lose a ball game, sat up perusing the nooz/gnus on-line, while my left knee was relaxing under a hot-water bottle. It has certainly been a day!
Someone must've blinked, because here we are headed into a Saturday again.

Work wasn't bad yesterday, took some time and did some of today's tasks too, since today could be very busy. Helping to cover for 3 people who are off today
Was otherwise a quiet day, stopped at the credit union and exercised
Have to say, after a week I think the mindfulness is making a difference. It's definitely become easier to do, although it remains easy to slip, so I have to pay attention
Will go out to dinner with J if he's up to it, if not we'll do Sunday instead. Honestly Sunday is a bit easier for me
Will be in the low 90s today, an improvement from earlier in the week
