NJ22 hope the cardioversion made a difference

Stars hope the weather cools off

Tweety that does sound like a bad shift

Ado  I wonder if it's connected to anxiety or imposter  syndrome

Was busier at work yesterday, so no free time.  Was hoping for a reprieve in the afternoon but didn't get it.   At least I didn't have to work too quickly

Quiet rest of the day, stayed in and exercised

Will probably be a quiet night tonight.  J has been tired with watering the new sod in this heat, although he has gotten a sprinkler which makes things easier.  But he said he'll probably be too tired to meet tonight

The heat will ease off a bit today, think it will only be in the upper  80s

Oh my gosh...it's my sister's 75th birthday today! I better send her an email!

Another disgustingly hot day; hubby says the temp is 100 and the heat index is 110. Yesterday, the neighbor who wanted all the wood from the elm tree that was cut down...he worked somewhere between 4-6 HOURS getting it all split. He said it took him stretched out on the floor with the ceiling fan on high for an hour before he started feeling more normal. Worked a little tooooo hard, in all that heat. No wonder his wife was mad at him!

But today he is loading up all the split wood, and it has taken him a couple of hours to do that, as well. It is almost done. He said he has a pile of that wood that is 11 feet long and 9 feet high! I reckon if we lose heat this next Winter, we can go over to their house, and sit next to the wood-stove to warm up! I looked for a giant gold star to stick on his forehead but couldn't find one, and besides, if I'd found one, it wouldn't stay stuck because of all the sweat.

I sure hope Nannie is happy now that the wood is gone from her line of sight. Don't know if she can see the trenches made by the weight of the tree-trunk when it hit the ground, but they are impressively deep. No worries, though, as she never goes outside anymore anyway.

I have stuff to do but am not doing it.... except I AM attempting to kill a fly when it lands near me.

Lazy day. So lazy that I didn't even turn on the TV for the early baseball game which started an hour ago. However, they are in the top of the fifth inning and there has, so far, been no scores for either team.

Oh, Joe, I definitely feel like an impostor these days, in the infection control and risk management worlds, and having to worry about creating/approving/maintaining policies. I always kind of took that for granted. But here we are. I'm acutely aware of how much I don't know.

Not too excited about the weekend. The budget is tight so it will mainly consist of housework and keeping everyone fed. I'd really like to go play in the water somewhere. There's a water park 20-ish minutes away and a lake not much farther. The lake is at a state park so there's no entry fee but there is a parking fee that you're supposed to pay on an honor system. That would be fairly cheap. Is it ridiculous for someone my age to want to go hang out at the pool and tube down the lazy river? OKC has a watersports park that has simulated surfing. And rafting. I'd like to do that some time, too, but again $$$$. There are some movies out that I wouldn't mind seeing but that's freaking expensive these days. Maybe next weekend for our anniversary.

Hubs and I watched a few episodes of the Outlander series the other day. I'd kind of lost track of where we were in the story but they are in colonial America. Claire was trying to create an appropriate dose of penicillin so she could do tonsillectomies on twin boys. Stars, have you watched it? Is it consistent with the books?

Good evening.

I can't say anything good about work, so I won't say anything.

Have a great evening!

65 degrees and overcast. It’s been a dismal month in many ways. I replaced my laptop today. My old one wouldn’t  turn on and the fix-it guy said it wasn’t worth fixing. I stopped to see sis. She is slowly getting energy back. I am going with her Next Wednesday to her PCP. The verbal dc instructions she got don’t match the written ones. She does tend to mix things up so I hope to get it straightened out. I did a few more errands and some housework. And my heart rhythm has gone back into afib. Oh well, the cardioversion was nice while it lasted. Eldest ds sent a text to say he has COVID. That too bad because we were planning to go as a family to the Mariners baseball game for Father’s Day.

LOOKS TO BE like it's going to be / is being one of THOSE week-ends for all of us!

I was just thinking...I have been here since May 2017, and I haven't ever had a weekend off, and certainly no vaca-whatchamacallits. Not looking for sympathy or advice; just ruminating. Like a cow with its cud. ?nom nom nom
