Stars that is indeed good luck

Dianah hope your trip goes well

Tweety hope today's shift goes well

Yesterday was a bit busier than expected at work, with a meeting and a new case.  But by the end of the day things has quieted down

Washed the sheets and made some hummus, although I will now need a new blender as my old one was starting to smoke

Today planning to go to the body shop over lunch to get the car, they emailed me yesterday to advise they were finishing up.  Will be nice to have that back

Then have a potluck with the gay group tonight, will make stuffed mushrooms, hopefully I will have enough time after work to do that

Will be cooler today, in the lower 80s

Joe, I LOVE stuffed mushrooms!  Hope they will be a hit at your event.

Hello all!

Prep continues.  Today I need to go to the grocery store for some last-minute items, and clean out the fridge.  Later on will pack (I did two loads of laundry yesterday, so we have clean clothes).  Then tote food out to the RV.  At least it's not 99 degrees out.  As Joe found when he walked home from the rental car agency, that kind of heat just wears one out!

Hope you all have a good day!

Eye'm-mup and have fed Nannie and Momo. Had to really hunt for a coordinating outfit for Nannie, with sleeves that will go over her cast, but she is pleased as punch to have shades of lilac and pale purples on.

In a little while I will have to dash out to the bank for cash (to have over the weekend) and to the grocery store because we are out of bread, yogurt, Tylenol, chips, baggies, and BOOST. I am trying to come up with meals she can eat with one hand, because with her casted left hand raised on a pillow, it makes it hard to rest a tray on her lap. I have a small bench on the right side of her chair so I can place her drinks where she can get to them more easily. The cast and the pillow make it a stretch for her to reach over them with her right hand and use the chair-side table where we usually place her drinks.

Today, they say it will be 93-feels-like-97. UGH,  but I will be inside most of the day, enjoying the AC. Other than my brief outing, I do have the usual housekeeping chores: laundry and washing up some dishes...... Joy! (not.)

Later, y'all~

Stars, I'm so glad you got at least a bit of a "mackerel".

I'm having the Friday afternoon droopies so not feeling very with it.

dianah, enjoy your trip!

Stars, that seems like excellent news. That should give you a little cushion.

it's in the mid 60s here. Had a few sprinkles of rain, but I did get the grass cut. The dogs are restless but I can't find their leashes. I think they are in the pickup, which is parked in Seattle, near the airport. The little escaped from the fence briefly. I enjoyed my golf lesson yesterday: chipping and pitching. If nothing else, I'm learning the lingo. I'm meeting youngest dear son at a brewery with food trucks for dinner. Dh is enjoying Omaha, in between hailstorms.

Thanks for the trip wishes, Ado!

Dh is packed.  As soon as it cools down some, we will take the instruments out to "the music room" (the area we store them when we are traveling).  Dh always reminds me that if the instruments are exposed to heat around 130 degrees (which can happen, in a car on a hot day), the glues will let loose, and a nice instrument may need some major repairs, or it may be totally ruined.  So, we are careful where we leave the instruments.

I made my final run to the grocery store, and we have toted supplies to the freezer and fridge and cupboards.  My list of grocery supplies is slowly getting full of check marks.

After supper I will pack, and then we will be ready.

Friends are already on the road with their fifth wheel, we'll meet up with them on Sunday.

Have a good evening!

You know, it would be fabulous if food-trucks drove around neighborhoods like the ice-cream trucks used to do. Instead of those quirky, warbling music loops, the Mexican food truck would play Mexican tango (?) music, or something. But I would really, really like many ethnic food trucks to drive through here! I would have to expand my music knowledge to be able to recognize the different country's themes.

 Dream on Stars!

Great idea, No Stars!  I would love to get ethnic foods via food truck, like the ice cream truck!

We shared chines dumplings (pot stickers), won ton soup, Spring rolls, and donuts. Soooo good.

I like the food truck idea. Tacos and margaritas would make me come running.

Ditto! Maybe some will pick up on this idea and we will hear La Cucaracha (sp?) com- ing down the street.
