Stars while your doctor may be right about needing to place Nannie, there needs to be a plan to do that. Too bad he didn't have a referral for you for someone who could assist with that
Tweety good that you're off today after a busy shift
Ado that is something that I think is getting me down. Trying to be patient as I don't want to start up with someone new, but I can only wait so long
Work was mostly good yesterday despite getting 2 new cases, 1 who has reputation of being difficult. I didn't find that person particularly difficult but he did like to talk at length, I think he needed someone to listen and help him with a medication issue. I do sometimes wonder, with the workloads we have, of how sustainable this job is. For now I'll wait and see
Had one of those slight headaches again but it went away with some Tylenol. If this is a migraine then they've gotten very weak
Texted with J about this Sunday's musical, waiting to see if he wants to meet for lunch beforehand. Apparently he got sick right after he got back from his Christmas trip and is only now recovered. He seems to catch everything
After work was fairly quiet, ran to the store and exercised and watched Star Trek.
Tonight should be quiet too, glad it's Friday and the weekend
Will be in the low 30s today
No Stars In My Eyes said:Nannie decided at 8:10 PM that she really wanted to go to bed. It was all I could do not to say "HALLELUJAH!"
As I said on an earlier thread, I am a long time lurker.
No stars: I worked in home health a long time ago (80s) but most Medicare policies had a provision, that if you can keep the elderly person at home you can have a certain number of hours of 'respite' care ...care that included meal preparation, light housekeeping (never knew what the amounted to) and assistance with hygiene and toileting..
With regards to Nannie's cost in going to a NH and who keeps the house.....please call a CPA. A good one can give you great information on how long a deed for the house ownership needs to be in terms of prior years when it transferred to an heir without financial penalty. In another instance 'cash' (a gift) coming from an estate to an heir has to be a certain amount of years before the government can claw back the money. I apologize if you have already met with a CPA and know the answers to these questions/financial issues.
Well, all I seem to be doing here is giving advice. I will introduce myself in the future.
No Stars,
I just amended my post to better clarify what I meant. Thank you the welcome!
I just think I am not good at describing what I mean:
A gift of property/house needs to be done many years before the original owner plans to go into a NH.
Cash given freely may be subject to a 'gift tax'.
Please understand I am not giving an educated opinion. I just am telling what I heard when my husband (CPA) was on the phone.

Though mine doesn't sound as severe as yours, I do appreciate the tip about the dry needling, and will file that away for future possible use. Thanks londonflo, and don't be a stranger here! ?
