NJ22 a New Years Eve party sounds nice, haven't been to one in years

Work was busier than expected, as I had more to do than I expected, both for myself and the person I was covering. And had to make a bunch of phone calls and emails to help resolve a situation. But at least I didn't have to work late, and with no counseling I had a full lunch hour. Even had time to do some of today's stuff early
After work was quiet, exercised and looked up some recipes online. Getting more intoo baking
Today should be (hopefully) quieter at work, despite having 2 people off. Assuming nothing unusual happens. Not really much happening after work either. Definitely glad it's Friday
Will be in the low 40s again, rain which started tomorrow should stop by today

J22, isn't it amazing how dirty dishes pile up?
One of the first websites I joined when I got internet (remember WebTV? That was my first internet dial up) in the 90's was a site for vegan and vegetarians to talk and share recipes. I'm actually still facebook friends with some of the people I met there but last time I was on the site it was completely taken over by spammers and didn't have any new members posting there. Sad demise of a decent website. The original owner apparently sold it before it was south.
I got my free credit reports from Annual Credit Report dot com because I got a notice from my former mortgage company that there was a breech. From what I could see on all the reports all seemed okay.
Best friend won $500 on a scratch off. He's lucky like that. I got three scratch off cards from management for Christmas and won nothing.

Spent an hour plus, discussing Nannie's life....the most recent stuff, of course. 7 times 7; she didn't remember hubby had passed away, and out of Bil's hearing, she kept referring to him as "that man". And every time I said he was her younger son, she'd look at me kind of puzzled, and say, "Really?" She kept up with the questions for another hour after he left! And then during the first TV show I put on, she kept talking, except then it had been about how the real estate agent was trying to FORCE them to take one of the houses. NO, Nannie, he is showing them 3 different houses and as a realtor it was his job to talk up the best points of each, and they get to choose which one they like the best. Of course you know, when Nannie was a realtor (like about NEVER ago) she did thus and so, and etc, etc. ? It is getting harder for her get what was in her brain down to her mouth, and there was a lot of hand gestures while she'd say, "Ooooh, I can't think what it was I was going to say." and "Oh, you know...." No, actually I don't have a clue, but I say, "Uh-huh." And she said that this realtor "isn't doing anything to their eyes"....HUH?...."Like what?" I sez, and Nannie says, "Well, you know, they don't put anything warm in them, or anything cold in them..." Oh-kay, then!
What a weird evening this is! Well, just a tad more weird than other evenings. I'm going to put her to bed at 10 PM whether she wants to go or not. I need to get away from her! In January, I can get a whole day off! Every week? I sure hope so. And get paid, as well!

Ooh, the Nasty Nannie made an appearance tonight! I was in the bathroom with her, getting her ready to go to bed. As she walked around the corner to the bedroom door, she looked at the bed, and said "What an AWFUL mess!" I told her it wasn't a mess, I had just pulled the covers aside so it would be easier for her to get in....(Now, her response to me....I have to say this: the last word in her remark should be spelled with the letter 'I' not with an 'o'.) In a smart, sharp, huffy tone of voice, she said, "Well! I guess you think you're some kind of big shot.". WHA???? Where'd that come from?
I said, "There's no reason to talk to me like that. I know that I am taller than you are, but you know you are the one who is a big shot." (of which she always was always quite proud of being like that. She waggled her head and in a mocking voice, went "mehmehlahdoodahyehyeh." I can't really catch a way to describe it, but it had the essence of a 6 year old saying "Nah-nah-nah-nah-boo-boo." She got in the bed, I pulled the covers over her, and said, as I always do, "I hope you sleep well. Have a good night and I'll see you in the morning." and she had her eyes shut and her mouth pinched and turned her head away, and said nothing.
Whoa! I haven't seen that portion of her pre-Seroquel personality for quite some time! I hope it's not going to become her norm again! Oh well. She has Switz Breeze for Chains. (Think of the guy who wrote the kid's book "Runny Babbit".)
Momo and I are cooling our jets now, so I'll sign off until tomorrow....
