Karen that's a beautiful tree with memories.  Glad you were able to enjoy it this year.

The dogs let me sleep in a bit and I woke up to feed them and went back to bed for another couple of hours and now the day is half over.

My car insurance went up $224 for the next six months.   It's still less than my prior carrier that I switched from a year ago but damn.......

I, too, am glad it's Friday. I managed to lock the keys in the car this morning, with the car running, while I was scraping frost from the windshield. The only key we have to that car (shame on us. But we have to go to a Chrysler dealership, there isn't one in town, and blah blah blah). Hubs eventually broke in using a hanger and brought me my stuff. I had left him to deal with it and drove the pickup to work but then didn't have my badge or a key to my office... I joked with the receptionist that I'd like a do-over for the week and she laughed and said, "Nope. We're moving on to next week." I think I like that even better.

I do have the stuff I need to go to the tag agency and renew my license as it is the last day to do so before it expires. In Oklahoma we have not been compliant with the federal "real ID" rules but can do so now if we take all the proper documents. I still had them together from getting TSA precheck so I'll do that.

Annie, my hubby told me he stopped to get milk the other day, and came out and couldn't find his keys. And then realized they were still in the ignition. And the pickup was still running. I told him he's lucky the pickup was still there.

It's mild and partly cloudy here. I should get outside and clean up some storm debris, especially the leaves on the deck before they get wet and slick. I would like to get a pedicure, if the nail place isn't too busy (they often are on Fridays). I haven't really cooked for 3 days, and yet, the kitchen seems to be full of dirty dishes. hmmmm. 

GAAAAHHHH! More hold-ups on the financial front; I have to go to the bank to close Nannie's checking account , but can't do it until Nannie's SS chk is deposited in it next week. Then the $ is transferred to her new chk acct, which they had told BiL was MINUS $15, but transferring her old balance to her and BiL's new checking acct will bring it back up to the correct balance.. He has to make an appt w/ SSA to have it be deposited in her (and his) new acct.; when hubby's birth cert. comes (if it EVER arrives!) I can make an appt w/ SSA so I can get his SS chk in place of mine. It's always something, and sometimes it is TWO somethings!

Heh! Somehow BiL got into the SSA right after he left here, without an appointment, and just now he called me to find out Nannie's SS#.

BiL was still here when Nannie came out of her bedroom with just pj bottoms on and NO absorbent anything underneath the pj bottoms. She didn't want to go to the bathroom, and she didn't want to change out of her pj bottoms, but I made her do it anyway, because, as I told her, if she sat down now, everything would get soaked! So she decided to be cooperative, thank goodness.

 I need to call Wells Fargo, but will have to wait until next week. But I did find all the papers from when they put me in that pay program that  I refused, and, even though the 'dedicated ' cust. serv people MUST'VE heard me on every phone call I made to each of them about it all, and I had already paid two of the three months they said I was behind, nothing was done. And I have all their names written down. So, I can at least have them make a generic (meaningless) apology to me, and have the pleasure of telling them they treated me so poorly that I will never again have any dealings with Wells Fargo. What a Bunch'o' Crooks! And trying to make nice after the 7 years that has elapsed since then.... Ppfftt!

Taco Bell's Dorito Locos Taco is good....unless you've put it into the fridge overnight and then heated it up in the microwave. The edges are crispy, but eveything else has to be eaten with a spoon. But it still tastes okay.

Have to tap out here, I have other things to do upstairs, and Nannie is starting her after breakfast nap, so I will Carpe Diem!

I noticed over in the political forums if I post something that has a link, or a word that needs investigation (like the old German WWII party leader), there is no time frame.  If a moderator happens to be on it gets posted quickly, otherwise I wait.  But it's usually not too long.

We do our best to approve ASAP. We know it's frustrating and really appreciate ya'll's patience. ?

J22, isn't it amazing how dirty dishes pile up?  

One of the first websites I joined when I got internet (remember WebTV?  That was my first internet dial up) in the 90's was a site for vegan and vegetarians to talk and share recipes.  I'm actually still facebook friends with some of the people I met there but last time I was on the site it was completely taken over by spammers and didn't have any new members posting there.  Sad demise of a decent website.  The original owner apparently sold it before it was south.

I got my free credit reports from Annual Credit Report dot com because I got a notice from my former mortgage company that there was a breech.  From what I could see on all the reports all seemed okay.  

Best friend won $500 on a scratch off.  He's lucky like that.  I got three scratch off cards from management for Christmas and won nothing.
