Stars glad the storm has not done any significant damage there

NJ22 glad things are calm there now

Ado I hope things cool off there

Work got a little busy yesterday, with a new case and a short meeting and some computer issues.  But the day ended well.  Hopefully today will be the same

After work made a mushroom dish for the potluck with the gay group tonight and stopped at the library

Vet let me know that the blood tests were all normal, he said if the vomiting occurs again to try hairball medicine.  So far, no more vomiting

Today will go to the potluck after work, other than that nothing unusual planned

Will be a nice day today in the upper 70s

BLUE Skies, HOT sun, 'feels like' of 98 degrees and humongous amt of humidity.

My phone woke me up with a message that my new glasses were ready to pick up. Good to know they are on top of things! I a'ready picked 'em up outta my bedside glasses-holder this morning, and put 'em on my face!

I guess I could take Nannie out while I run my few errands....the pharmacy, a grocery store (need more iced tea), post office. But, before I decide that, first I have to get her up and out of bed!

SiL is going to have to 'fix' the left side of my hair, as it is uneven and part of it wants to stick out instead of just hang down. Or maybe, since I'm not sure when I will see her again, I will trim it myself, since it isn't the back side that needs an 'adjustment'. I'm kinda like: "Nobody is going to notice it / I don't know anybody here, so who cares what it looks like." In other words, "Pppffftttt!"

Have to empty the dehumidifier and check the towels....which are probably wet. More trash emptying, more dishes to wash, uncertain of any laundry, so don't count that out!

Hot coffee is GOOOOOOD. Hope the rest of the day is good, as well.

Yup, so I took Nannie out, we were gone for nearly 2 hours.....Did my errands and took the scenic route home, and after I got her back inside and into the recliner, I parked my car under the carport and came back inside. When I sat down on the sofa, she asked me, "Are you going to be able to take me out in the car this afternoon?"  Poor thing, doesn't even remember having been out in the car already today and she looked quite disappointed when I told her we had just come back!

I imagine it is disappointing and frustrating and maybe scary for her to never understand why or when.  You deserve mercy and grace for caring for a non blood relative like you are.  Your patience is commendable.

Joe, your good wishes worked. The high today was about 85. It's expected to remain cooler through the weekend with maybe some rain, then back to the heat. It is nice to have a little break. Hope your dinner goes well.

We spent the afternoon at Disneyland, first time in a couple months, as our passes were "blocked out" through June and July (a scheduled thing, amount of blocked out times varies with the type of pass purchased).  It was 86 degrees, not bad.  We dressed for hot weather, and stayed in the shade as much as possible, and enjoyed the breezes.  Wonder of Wonders, we entered a coffee shop in California Adventure, and dh was approached by a red-headed man who greeted him like family----- and he WAS family, he is dh's nephew!  He and his wife and their 7yo child were visiting the parks (they have passes)!  They live about 20 min from the parks.  HE recognized dh; I wouldn't have known him, if passing on the street.  Hadn't seen him in 10 years, probably...  We had a very nice chat, then met again for supper and got to visit some more.  Very nice ppl.  A surprise that just capped off a nice day at  the parks.

Tomorrow we drive to bass player's house, for band practice before next week's program.    We have nothing planned for Sunday.  I will need to probably go to the grocery store then, and make some soup for the next few days.

Here are some photos from today's outing:

We rode on the Mark Twain riverboat, and spotted these Native American canoes tucked away, and the ducks swimming near them (enlarge photo to see the ducks):

And yes, we went dapper:
