Ado it's definitely a busy time for church stuff

NJ22 glad that he did find the phone

Work was rather busy yesterday, but didn't get too bad despite a new case later in the day and yet more documents.  Have a coworker off today, hopefully that won't complicate things

After work was busy too, had a Zoom meeting after work then went to church to serve as usher and reader for the Maundy Thursday service.  Small crowd, not unexpected.  Bit awkward as we have several groups, from Boy Scouts to AA, which have Thursday night  meetings at the church

Today after work will be back at church to be the assisting minister for the Good Friday service.  Still working on organizing a zoo outing for the over 50 group but I think we may finally have a time and date that works for most people

Going to be windy and quite warm, up to about 80, with storms expected later this evening

"Good" Friday sure better be 'gooder' than Thursday was. Chatty CG didn't show up at all, after saying last week,as she left, "I'll see you next Thursday because I'm working EVERY Thursday from now on." No phone call. Maybe something happened with one of her family members. We don't know nothin', though. So my 'day-off' was another disappointment. SiL was doing hair (but not mine!) in the AM and working at ABC store in the PM, so she was not available, and was very apologetic, which didn't help anything. I told her it wasn't HER fault, but she apologized at least 1/2 dozen times. BiL showed up to mow the lawn. The plumbers who were supposed to come by 'right after they finished their lunch'....well, they must've eaten an 8-course meal because it was 2 +1/2 hours later they came....after BiL had given up on them and gone home. Then when they did show up, he had to come back over. He showed them what he wanted done, and the problem with the washing machine leaking in the bedroom (where the washing machine is) and into the bathroom, and now in the little hallway. But all they did was look, and then tell BiL that they had to go back to the office and have them draw up an estimate. So,since I HAD TO do more laundry, I had to put down towels to absorb the leakage.

Nannie was cross about the towels on the floor that I put down to absorb the leaks....so I let her touch one of the sopping towels when I pulled it off the floor, and she got grossed out. I mean, I could've left the water there on the floor and let her slip, but I am really not that mean; I just have mean thoughts sometimes by way of lightening up my thunderous mood, if that makes any sense. It's just a way of COPING.

So, my day off was once again filled with The Joys Of Laundry (3 loads). Nanny had numerous complaints throughout the day. The ones she pointed out specifically were when I was busy doing other things, mostly tending to her wants and 'needs'. I couldn't multi-task because what she wanted or needed was across the room from what I was doing at the time when she pointed them out.. I should be cloned several times over, to cover all of her 'reminders' of what needed doing. I kept my cool UNTIL, when I was changing her into her pj's (and she complained about having to have her clothing removed, and kept saying she wanted to "keep" them, as I removed them.) Then I had her stand up from the toilet in order to pull up her night-time padding and pj bottoms.....she is SUPPOSED to hang onto the towel bar beside the toilet to keep her balance while I am tugging stuff up. But she started rearranging the little towels (again!). She does this EVERY TIME she is on the toilet, I mean, she is the only one who touches them, and she stands the risk of being knocked off-balance while the pants maneuver is going on, if she doesn't hold on to the bar, and when she said "Wait a minute, I have to do this" (straightening out her towel arrangement)......and I finally snapped and emphatically said, "STOP playing with the damn towels and HANG ON to the bar!"

So, Thursday's time-off was shot, and there is no Sr Ctr today because of the holiday (Good Friday) and then the weekend is coming up, with no Nannie-Relief in sight. Is Monday, the day after Easter, ALSO a 'holiday'? I reckon I'll find out by Monday. This whole coverage issue is a joke, even though the ATTEMPT has been made to lighten my load, I have YET to experience a week with all of my so-called time-off in place. Can't PLAN on anything!

Not at all sure what today brings, except probably more irritation. Maybe my brother is right and I AM a saint, but I can't say I like that status AT ALL.

Like Linda Ellerbee used to end her show: "And so it goes."

I don't know about you but the occasional mean thought helps keep me sane.

I forgot to add that yesterday, after I had the Nannie-person in the bathroom and she did one her enormously fat BM's, 10 minutes later she was in a panic and said she had to go to the bathroom right away!. So, she sat there on the toilet for another 5 minutes and said she was through. I almost laughed out loud when I saw what was a soooo urgent....it was a piece of stool smaller than a sunflower seed without the hull. 🤣

Good evening.

All is well.  My spare dorm refrigerator quit working, so I will be without one until parts come in and it's repaired maybe in three weeks.  I can only just laugh.

Supposedly the last of the painting will be done tomorrow and I can close the chapter of the roof saga.

I'm off for four days.  I hope everyone has a good weekend.
