Stars that will be good once she is there once a week

NJ22 not surprised at all the bikes, the Dutch are famous for it

Dianah that is always a hard decision, but given all of the health issues Toby was facing it was the right decision to make

Tweety hope the painting at least gets done on time

Yesterday was a little busier than expected, with a new case at the end of the day, but otherwise not bad

After work went to the happy hour event with the gay group, last time there were a few dozen, this time it was just one of the organizers and myself. Had a nice chat for an hour or so, no one else showed up so we left

Having an issue with my cell phone, I can't hear people who call unless I put them on speaker.  Texting with a local computer repair place to find a time I can bring the phone in to have it looked at

Might take the phone in tonight, otherwise I may take it in tomorrow once I return from downtown

Will be another day of about 50, will rain later tonight and early next morning

The Van Gogh museum had many of his works, and those of his contemporaries, like Gauguin. We are going out to an Indonesian restaurant tonight. We have one more day here, then fly out at noon on Sunday.
Dianah, I am so sorry about your kitty. That is a tough decision to make.

Good Afternoon. Nannie has gone to daycare. I got up early to unlock the doors for SiL to come in and do Nannie's AM routine, and I went back to sleep. I heard the door downstairs thump, and Momo barked once. I told her "NO!" and she was quiet after that. I got up at noon. Now I am dressed, coffee'd, and sitting on the sofa piddling around on the laptop.  It is possible I may attend to a few household tasks, but I ain't a'sayin' which one or ones. Likely I will do dishes and laundry, but I am thinking of a few other things I might actually tackle this afternoon. Unfortunately I have to go pick up Nannie at 5 PM. As Nannie says when she sees me doing a household chore, "I hate that you have to do that." and I am thinking that very sentence to myself right now!

Tweety, The offer to come down there and kick some shins still stands. I cannot believe how slack the roof people are! How would they like it if this happened to THEM? SMH.

dianah, I am sorry about Toby, but glad you could do right by him, poor thing.

j22, I guess this means no more European photos......😔. Oh well. Safe trip home!

Nothing more to say, but it's okay.

Worked hard for 2 hours getting all the piled on the chair and piled in two different laundry baskets, the clean, folded clothes that have been waiting for WEEKS in the big, heaping messes......put away! Some had to go into the laundry again. I think next time I am out I will get a handheld clothes-steamer to get the wrinkles out of them. I know there are at least two irons in the house, and two down in the shed somewhere, but I am uncertain as to where an ironing board is located, or even if there is one. But, as I am not too big on ironing these last many, many years, I think the clothes steamer would be the best bet.

I will have to go through the dresser drawers and re-sort socks and undies and other stuffed-in jerseys to get them put away for now, and will neaten those up at a later time. Up in New England, the method of stuffing things into drawers and closets used to be VERY UN-PC referred to as "Irishing Up the House."  That must've come from very long ago when the Irish coming to America was not favored; for some reason. They were the nationality looked down on, once upon a time.

The good news is I have located the two relatively 'new' bras I haven't seen for quite a while......AND I have found my 'lost' car key! I wonder if my 'lost' notebook brain will reveal itself when I start in on the boxes of papers I have to sort. Lots of stuff to be shredded, and I will narrow those all down to just names and addresses and the little square of squiggly lines (it has a name, which escapes me) where you can click it with your SMAHT phone (which I don't have) to order things, and all the rest of the papers without identifying items on them can go into the recycling bin. The rest, maybe, will be shredded, and maybe at a shredding place, if the collection is "lighter", because you pay by the pound, and I don't want to spend what they want per pound.

I am sitting on the bed, have turned the AC on and all the ceiling fans in the house, because it is HOT and STUFFY in here! Will have to turn some of them off when I bring Nannie home. That will be in about 35 minutes. Momo thinks that since I am sitting on the bed, I should play 'toss' with her little squeak-toy we play with at bedtime. Nope, not  happening right now!

"See" yez'all laydah!

Sorry about Toby, dianah.

Enjoying the pictures, J22.

I might go to a protest tomorrow. It's 25 miles away (there's an option in OKC as well, but that is a little farther and a lot more traffic). Perhaps Twin A will go with me. Twin B will need to be sleeping. Hubs will think we're being silly.

Very little else happening and I'm not complaining. There is a volunteer appreciation at the wildlife rehab Sunday afternoon but I haven't helped them out much lately at all. I guess they are planning a new building, which is exciting, and it would be nice to see and hear about the plans.

Sorry about Toby.

Several choices to protest around here.  Might go to one.

I said to the oncoming charge I was busy and a bit disorganized and he said "that's shocking" and complained about a few other things while someone chimed him "he's just old".  Really?  I'm now a punching bag because we discharged 10 patients and admitted eight (most of which were at shift change) and I'm not 100% on my game because I worked nonstop for 12 hours?  This is a guy who lost his air buds sitting in a massage chair we have and "catches up my shows" at night.  Humph......

I guess this is my lot in life being the older one there.
