Good Morning!
Joe, hope you have a good Good Friday.
I like this time of year as I take it as a time for personal reflection and resurrection if needed. (It's always needed)
I have some coconut water and like it and drink it a couple of times a week, mostly to rehydrate after hot yoga. It apparently has some good electrolytes and is high in potassium. One must be careful because most of the brands that are cheap have added sugar.
I did a quick online education at work about DNR and dying patients. I just finished all my education the other day and another one popped up yesterday. It's endless.
Nothing much going on today. Off today and working the weekend.
Good morning ☀️ sorry for the absence. It's been a busy week or so. Got my taxes done and continued with the deep cleaning of the house. Worked my scheduled days and just stayed to myself. And my brother moved in with me this week.
Stayed in the Uwaharrie national forest last night. It was so nice to be out in the trees and up in the mountains. Cooked a simple dinner outdoors and got to have a beautiful view of the stars. This morning I saw a bluebird and some wild turkeys. After breaking down my little campsite I was able to drive through some of the most beautiful farmland that I have seen in quite some time. Did wonders for my anxiety level. ?
Today's plans are to visit bass pro shops, then head off to visit a winery, then a gold mine.
I hope you all are having a great day today.
Hi Joe, Julie, & Tweety, and those trickle in later. Our weather started out cold and sunny, and is now cold and shower-y. I ran an errand on my lunch and got caught in a little hailstorm. It seems that I got all packed last night, including goodies for Easter baskets for the kiddos. I'll pick them and dd up at their house and begin our drive to Portland. I am finally looking forward to this, instead of dreading it.
My weight or my scale, fluctuates a lot, sometimes as much as a pound. I was using the Noom app on my phone and they encourage weighing daily, and its discouraging, at least to me. And in 2 months my weight has not changed.
OCD co-worker worked 4 hours yesterday, and she's here, but needs to leave, even if she is on antibiotics. Her resting pulse ox is 93. Even our health officer urged her to go home and rest. And maybe go in and see her doctor again.
I find nature to be a great refresher. I looked up Uwaharrie and it is indeed beautiful. Our farmland is still sort of brown-gray, but will green soon!
See ya later, calculators!
Good Early Evening!
Nice weather here -- in the low 70's, with sun and those enthusiastic March breezes.
It's been a quiet day here, and I have done a lot of nothing.
Hubby went over and talked w/ some relatively new-ish neighbors. Turns out the 'he' of the couple works from home, with computers! Since I have been remiss in sending the non-functioning 'new' laptop computer back to the manufacturer, he said he'd look at it, to see if he could get it up and running again, without overstepping the warranty. I'm not sure how he can do that if it won't turn on....but we'll see what he says. It may end up getting replaced, who knows? All I know is that I was typing away and the screen went black, and didn't respond to any clicks or click-cussing thereafter.
Ballgame doesn't start tonight until 9:30 PM! Hope Nannie doesn't try to stay up for it. She won't last too long if she does, though; I think her ability for tolerating a late bedtime is really stretched thin by 10 PM.
So, another Saturday is on its way around again -- what else is new?
Happy Good Friday, all!
I did a little grocery shopping, so I could make a couple recipes that I had posted on FB: a cucumber/radish/celery marinated salad, and a "chicken" salad (vegetarian chicken, celery, red grapes and a spicy mayo/yogurt/dijon mustard/lemon juice, S&P dressing); they both turned out good, we BOTH liked them. ?
I jammed with dh on Jamkazam today, and then spent some time on the phone with a long-time friend.
Time for dinner, have a good evening!
Just an observation:
I've been poking around in the various threads here-in, and I have something to say!
There is a "Club" that was started in August 2020, and its title is (was?) "The Status Quo Has Got To Go!" It shows zero-nada-zilch responses were made to it since it was first posted way back then. Soooo, I'd have to say, "The Status Quo Has Already WENT!"

Ado we did our dramatic reading last Sunday
NJ22 hopefully she didn't stir up too much trouble
Hi Stars
Tweety glad you were able to leave on time
Was a good day at work, not too busy and solved some problems
After work went for a walk then went to church for Maundy Thursday service, the choir did pretty good
Made reservations for Easter brunch at our usual place for J and I, since we won't be doing any family things for Easter this year
Little disappointed that my weight increased half a pound since last week. Wonder if it was the tart cherry juice I've been drinking. Granted, these last 4-5 lb are usually the hardest to lose
Hopefully work won't be bad, we'll have 2 people out today, but my schedule is light
After work have our Good Friday service, the choir is singing again
Up to 50 today, shouldn't have any rain
