Hey everyone, I wanted to start this forum so we can share our stats and/or any questions any of us may have. These are my stats so far! 

Prerequisite GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 82%

Ya something is off. I saw on another post for Fresno state Spring I think that it’s a excel sheet and they start with pre req GPA move to over all GPA and the TEAS if they get that far, which obviously they did this year. I don’t think it has anything to do with demo or volunteer anything cause they didn’t even have us put that stuff in.

I don’t think so. Within the nursing CAS application they have us upload a copy of the score and breakdowns. I don’t think I actually paid for it to be sent over.

I’m a California student! I’m local to Long Beach (nervous about that OMG) but I’m not considered to be within the local preference to Fresno.

I have a 3.56 overall and a 4.0 prereq

I did not get in, but not shocked considering people with 4.0s didn’t get in.. honestly whole thing sounds like a disappointment, probably won’t bother with Fresno State again considering it was like $130 to apply.

Personally can’t afford that or think they deserve that much money. I applied to Fresno City too. Otherwise I just wait and try again next year. Unsure if I want to even bother trying Fresno State again in July.

4.0 is my prereq GPA and my overall is about 3.75. But I am denied.. ?

@Emily9798, I think they are considering overall GPA as well it seems, not just your prerequisite GPA unfortunately ?

Alternates: what is your all over GPA, prereq GPA and TEAS score? And any idea how many alternates are picked? I hope we all find out soon!

I saw a post on facebook group of pre-nursing students in CA. There are at least 2 people are considering to deny the offers.

I got an email back from the nursing department saying they have a total of 35 spots in their alternate list which they’ll continue pulling students from as students decline their admissions within the next few weeks. The list is also open up until the start of the semester.

Wow! I was hoping for a lower number. Thanks for passing along the info!
