Fresno State Fall 2016

Anyone else applied for fall 16 at Fresno State? It is the school that makes the most sense for me since I have family in the area I can stay with. I also wouldn't be too many hours away from where I live now so I can go home semi-regularly. Plus it helps that I grew up there so I know the area well. I am really really hoping I get in but I am so incredibly anxious and worried I won't :( Does anyone know if they use +/- in the gpa calculations? I know some schools like csueb don't. Fresno State's site doesn't really seem to give much info! Do they really not take into account your TEAS score at all either? They only cared if you passed? I had a pretty good score so I was hoping that would give me a better chance too. It seems like I've learned from reading other posts that we won't be notified about admissions for months and months? I was hoping that since the app is done through nursingcas that it wouldn't take as long as some other schools but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'd love to hear from anyone else that applied too! :)

I got accepted with a 3.79, so you should be pretty high up on the waitlist!! Hope everything works out!!

Congrats!!! :) that makes me feel a bit better but still so nervous. I'm a planner so I hate not being able to get an idea of what or where I'll be coming up soon.

I haven't received any email yet. Does it mean I didn't get in or they may send more emails tomorrow? :nailbiting:

I was sure I had forwarded my fresno state email to my regular one. Turns out it must not have worked or something! I didn't get the email until I went directly into my fresno state email account. I don't know if maybe you are doing the same? Hope that helps! And good luck! :)

I checked both emails but still didn't see anything. Anyway, I'm a post-bac applicant. I don't know that it will make any difference.

Im sorry :( I how you feel right now. It stinks. I was wondering that too! I actually sent an email asking if we were able to find out where on the alternate list we are or if that info is confidental. Hopefully they are able to tell us! I'll let you know what they say.

It truly does. However, I'm just trying to stay as positive as possible! I'm so happy I found this website, because now I feel like I am not alone. I was going to call and ask the same thing, but I'm a little afraid to find out... But yeah, let me know what they say. Thanks! :)

Thought this might help ease your anxieties a bit about being wait listed... Everyone has to turn in their acceptance/denial to the nursing school by the 20th, so I imagine you'll be informed shortly after that if spaces are made available.
