Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I recently applied to Fresno State and am curious if anyone on this forum has as well. Does anyone know when we should find out if we were accepted or not.

Good Luck everyone!

I just spoke with a friend who spoke with a counselor earlier today about the program. Apparently, they are going to start calling people really soon. I think we may find out by the end of August.

Will they be notifying people by email or calling them on the phone?

I was told call, but in the Fall (2019) cycle I got my results through email.

Hmm that’s strange because in the past years it’s been through email. I guess it will be different. Did you also receive a letter in the mail when you had applied?

I thought it was too. I plan on going and asking the counselors myself either tomorrow or Monday to verify everything I was told. I'll post whatever I find out here. No, it was just the email.

Ok that would be great, thank you! And best of luck!??

Best of luck to you as well

The counselors had said that admission is based on just the 8 pre requisite GPA courses. If there is a tie then they look at overall GPA. All they care about for the TEAS is that we got a 75%

Thank you for the information!

That’s really good to know! By any chance do you know how many people applied? I got a 3.6 for my prerequisites & an overall GPA of 3.7 which makes me extremely nervous.

Hello, I also applied for Fresno State's nursing program for spring 2020. I am applying with a 3.59 gpa and with an overall 3.65 gpa. Has anyone heard what the gpa cutoff was for last spring? I'm planning on applying to community colleges but I would really like to get into a BSN program

I called asking about the gpa cutoff and they wouldn't tell me. I am a 2nd baccalaureate student and I got all B's in my science courses and ended up with a 3.45 pre-req gpa. I don't really have hope of getting in, but if there wasn't too many applicants it can make my little chances of getting in slightly higher.?

If they’ve already looked at the applications then I’m sure not too many people applied! And when you called did you ask them about the spring 2019 cutoff or for this cycle?

I just went and they didn't tell me anything except that the application takes a month to review. I am going to try to talk to someone else about it soon.
