Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else on here applied to the LVN to RN bridge program. We are waiting to hear back sometime this week. What was everyone's Stats?
There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.
One is to create a facebook page. This link is allowed to be posted.
The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.
Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed.
We wish you success In your Nursing program!
Hi Everyone!
Whoever got accepted into the program! I made an FB group where we can keep each other updated!
Hi all!
I applied to Fresno City LVN-RN bridge, didn't get selected. I gave up. After stressing out over the stupid TEAS and lottery, I decided to enroll in the LVN-RN bridge at International College of Health Science. I'm in the program now to become an RN. My expected grad date will be in November 2022.
For those who are waiting years to get in, just check out ICHS.edu seriously, you're losing RN kind of money for every year that you're not an RN. This school is accredited, online/hybrid. I am in the pharmacology, next month, I will begin MedSurg/Psych Nursing.
Just look into this program, you won't regret it. It is pricey compared to Fresno City tuition, its $36k. You can challenge fundamentals and pharmacology and move right into Medsurg if you pass. Your tuition will be atleast $5k less.
For me, $36k for the program is worth it, because once I get the RN license, I will be making three times the amount, or close to it! I can pay that tuition off in a year or less. LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE and keep your eyes on the prize!
I would recommend this program. It is 15 months if you do not test out. and I believe, 8 months if you pass Fundamentals/Pharmacology. Trust me, it is worth it. I applied to Fresno City one time, and Madera Center 1 time. I didn't bother with Gurnick. I can't stand the stupid TEAS! my score was low, but it was still passing. My GPA was in the high 3's (I got all A's in my science classes). My competitors who had better TEAS/GPA scores didn't even get in because of the stupid lottery. So, instead of applying, reapplying, and waiting years to get in and being disappointed, I just decided ICHS was a better route for me, personally.
I may have to travel to Florida for clinicals, but with the covid rates, it could change. But still, I would rather get my license sooner than later, as I have wasted years waiting around to get accepted into an RN program in California.

This is a good alternative. I know a couple LVNS at work that are doing this. It really sucks that California is so competitive. WE NEED NURSES. Best of luck on your journey and I hope you are successful.
