Members are discussing creating a Facebook group for their cohorts in a nursing program, sharing links to join the group, and congratulating those who have been accepted into different cohorts. Some members are excited about receiving emails confirming their acceptance into the program.
I recently applied to FCC's nursing program but I'm just confused on the selection process. I see/hear a lot of conflicting information about how they actually go about it. even the website kind of confused me. do they do 100% lottery system or points based & lottery? if anyone knows it would really help me out. I took my TEAS really late (Jan 11) so im kinda only left with community colleges this cycle.

Hi, what were some of the things that helped you reach your decision?
I wanted to be able to work part time as much as I can before it start getting busy and cos seems to give me that option. Plus, I got accepted into fcc for Spring 2026. I rather go to cos a semester early so I can be done with nursing school early. If I were accepted to fcc fall 2025 I would mind going to fcc, but still it wouldn't give me the choice of working part time since it's Monday- Friday. I don't mind the drive to cos and I heard many good things about cos. I looked into their nursing course on registration and it seems like the first semester is Monday-Wednesday. I'm not too sure it can change.
What do you have in mind?

Thank you for explaining what made you choose COS. I drove to Visalia this weekend and it is a nice town with everything a student could need. Yes, it does seem like there is more opportunity to work part-time at COS (at least in the first semester). Right now I live in Fresno near Woodward Park so driving to COS would be about an hour, unless I choose to move closer.
Congratulations again to everyone!
I just wanted to get an idea if anyone would be interested in a Facebook group for the program? I believe I saw it mentioned here (or maybe it was the COS thread). I can't say that I've used facebook recently at all but I'm open to starting and making a group page!
If so would you prefer a combined Fall 25/Spring 26 group or separate groups? Let me know your thoughts!

I had mentioned the Facebook group. I think it's a great idea! I'm not sure if we should do it separate or not.

I believe so. They did say 4/10 emails will be for alternate. Have hopes. I have been praying non stop and have faith.
