Fresno City College Fall 2015

Fresno City posted their lottery results today and I was selected. Who else is going into the nursing program with me? How many times have you been in the lottery? This was my 3rd time in the lottery. I was so surprised and elated to see that I was selected. I feel so bad for people that have been waiting longer than me and have not been selected yet.

Good luck! I finished the FCC program Dec 2014 :)

1st semester I was in school 5 days a week (that included a clinical at the end of the first 9wks)

2nd semester-- 4 days a week w/2 days for clinical (1 was every week and 1 was every other week)

3rd semester-- I took in the summer 5 days a week with a Saturday clinical

4th semester-- 4 to 5 days a week alternating.

You can commute, but if you can find a cheap room to rent during the week, I would recommend that!

Omgosh thank you sooooo much for that information! :) one last question!

do they go through summer for every semester!? I will be starting this fall &&I in hoping to really take summer so I can be done faster!

I'm so sorry to bother you, I just have a couple quick question.i was told that fall students get put into a lottery that will select the students who will be attending summer. is this true? also how many students do they pick?

Hey, I got selected too and this was my first time! I just couldn't believe it. I just had a question. When you check your status now does it still say selected or it's been changed to placed? Also, when is the oriantation because it doesn't show anymore so I just wanted to make sure.

Same here! Well I live close to Merced and I'm planning to stay in Fresno, not sure yet.

Funny, it was my first time too!!!! I just about fell off my computer chair ! Orientation is May 8 from 1 - 3 in room HS 150

I just checked my status and it says placed? Wow:)

Also I'm commuting from Cutler, it's about an hour south of Fresno

Thank you. Oh okay, so I'm not the only one whose status shows as placed now. Lol I was kind of getting worried. I'm only an hour away from Freno but now sure if I'm going to commute. It'd be too much for everyday and plus sometimes the classes will be early in the morning. Still thinking if I should just live in Freano but If I find somebody the that's be great.

I don't think we have to bring anything. I remember seeing something about reading the handbook before orientation though. See you in a couple hours everyone!!!
