Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

I haven’t taken any prerequisites in Fresno/Clovis.
Currently living in Southern California. I was born and raised in Fresno (moved to SoCal 18 years ago after graduating HS) and was considering moving back this year anyways to be with family and my boyfriend, but when the local CC that I took my prerequisites at didn’t open their nursing program for applications (not enough clinical sites due to covid restrictions) it made the choice that much easier.

I have classes from San Diego Community College as well as National and I also had to get a course approval. They approved it days before the application deadline. Also the veteran spouse form so they have alot to look at for my application. Whew!

Wow all of your courses were accepted? That’s amazing.

Yes...I spoke with a counselor to see if I met the criteria and all classes would be accepted or transferred and I had only 1 class I needed to get approved. She got it approved and within days everything fell into place before application deadline. It was alot of stress not knowing if I had to retake the class that I was waiting to get approval. I had to submit the schools class course information exactly the way they wanted it.

I’m not from out of town but I took a majority of my classes at Fresno State due to being premed 2 years before changing to graphic design.
I went through a process to get stuff approved to be able to take anatomy and physiology, Microbiology and stats right away (took Chem and calculus at state), had to take forms to the admin office, and it shows up on my transcripts and stuff for FCC now too. They keep reassuring me I won’t need PE and some counselors say my Communications counts and some don’t. I’d like to know for sure! Last year my eligibility note said I needed communications and this year it says nothing. I took communications in 2012, but I took persuasion instead of basic communications (comm 3?)

Interesting you went from science to art and then went back to science! I did something similar. I went to Fresno State as a Chemistry major. Changed my major to music, sang a lot of amazing music, had kids and went back to science. We’re learning the most amazing stuff in biochem right now.

Did does it say for or from? As far as I know they haven’t emailed us.
