Congratulations! I’m not sure what you have to do. But we’re you an alternate?

I'm not an alternate

Hi everyone. I just got accepted to another ADN Program that closer to my house. I will giving up my spot for someone that's in the waitlist. Good luck everyone!

Congrats on both accounts! Yet to see anyone off the alternates list respond to this thread or on facebook, starting to wonder if alternates weren’t drawn this year.

Im not sure who would be able to help me with this, I just talked to one of the counselors at FCC about transfering to state and im more confused now than before. Im now planning to apply to fresno state's BSN program. My only classes left are phil 1c, math 11, chdev 38, soc 1b, hist 11/12, and fn 40 which I plan to be completely done with by the end of fall semester.

When is the deadline to complete all of those classes? Can I have any in progress when I apply to the university itself (I know the nursing program doesnt want any in progress on prerequisites). Im going to take math 11 and phil 1c this Summer because the counselor made is seem like if I don't have them complete by August, I won't be able to apply to state until 2022 (which doesn't seem right to me, but I didn't argue).

I believe it needs to be Nutrition 35.

If you are not post baccalaureate (which it doesn’t sound like it) unfortunately Spring of 2022 would be the soonest.

If you think that counselor is wrong, talk to another one. One counselor at city told me my very ancient Bio 1A was not the equivalent pre-req for Physiology and Micro. (Granted I had already taken Anatomy a decade prior....) I knew she was wrong so I scheduled an appointment with another counselor and I was all good.

That said I am old but I remember some CSUs wouldn't let you transfer until you fulfilled the IGETC deal. It's probably called something else now. Fresno State wasn't one of them at the time but it may be now. Knock out what GE you can in online Summer school if that is the case. And you have your whole life to do the BSN bridge... And hospitals will pay for it too so don't fret too much!!

I was just selected for the radiology tech program. I prefer nursing obviously but if I don't get into a program by next year, I'll probably do that.

Congrats! Honestly I’ve been looking into schools in Tennessee and I’m likely going to pursue that, they don’t require communications or Chemistry so my prerequisites GPA there is way higher. There’s also more options, looking at 3 city colleges all around the same cost of FCC, will still apply for FCC because most of the application periods fall around that time.

Hi guys!!

I'm looking for some insights. I'm in the Spring 2022 cohort. I am curious to know what a typical schedule is like for FCC Nursing students? What days are lecture and what days are clinical?? Reason being as I am not from the 559 area. I've been contemplating on relocating and transferring to a closer work location near Fresno county. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you. ?

I have one lecture day (2 hours) and one skills day (8-3pm) the rest is online.  Some people have two lecture days though. Depends on who you get for theory….

And honestly…  who really knows what’s going to happen this Winter with Covid…. If the whole class gets sick despite being vaccinated….

Aside from insight above, there’s also a maybe not up to date with COVID times, mock schedule on the FCC nursing website, I think it has all 4 semesters too.
