Opening a thread for the FCC RN applicants

1) I took AP English which is equivalent to the English prerequisite we need. Do I just put the “next” English up or is there a way to put in my AP English score on the application?

2) I never took Intermediate Algebra, I took Precal and above. Is it okay if I just put my Precalcus course since I don’t have that course?

*Every other school I’ve applied to has allowed me to put the “above” class as long as I provide my AP score or transcripts. However, Modesto is the only school that had the option to put both my AP score AND the next class up, to get my full points.

Fresno does not do course substitution forms like the other schools I’ve applied to, they just approve it if you provide syllabus, transcript, and course description. Which I’m not even finding ANY info about. They have like zero information on these questions I have. Every other school has been much easier in these situations as far as directions.

3) when do you turn in your supporting documents? Is there a specific window time after you apply?

4) I am going to the workshop the last day of the application period, but I was wondering if I needed to bring my supporting documents that day?

I don’t know about a lot of what you asked. BUT bring all your stuff the day you go to the workshop.

Do you think I have to provide Course Descriptions and Syllabi for classes taken outside of Fresno City? I had to for Merced and Delta. ? haha whatever, I’ll just bring it all ??? thanks!

I think transcripts should be fine. But play it safe lol

1) I did the same thing for psychology, i believe you should just put in AP english (as long as you passed it with 3 or higher).

2) Pretty sure the math you took above intermediate algebra should be sufficient

3) January 6 - February 7, 2020 is the application period. You have to turn in supporting docs by 7th. When you complete the application it should send you an email or something telling you what to bring and print.

4) I would go to the workshop as soon as it starts so you have time to go home and print and bring anything you need. But yes bring all supporting documents you can just in case.

This is my first time applying. Does anyone know how the process works in terms of when status change etc?

When does the eligible status change from pending to eligible or not eligible?

When does the lottery status change?

Does it start changing once applications end or does it change in April?

2) I called nursing office to confirm this because I took introduction of stastics. They said that above Intermediate Algebra is acceptable.

Hi! This is my first time applying to Fresno City. I also just applied to MJC. Good luck to everyone! I will also be applying to Delta and Merced. Fingers crossed, this has been such a long journey.

Mine says application status is complete but evaluation is still pending.
