I am excited to have finally finished all of my pre-reqs. FCC finally posted the dates for the applications and I hope the new multi-criteria doesn't disqualify me for applying for Fall 17. Does anyone know how it will be like and has anyone talked to the RN couselors? I also applied to MJC this past May and I didn't get it, but I'm not too upset/discouraged because I really want to get in FCC since I live here. By the way the application dates are Feb 1-28th, but they haven't posted the multicriteria outline yet, Good luck everyone!
I haven't applied yet, this September will be my first time applying. I'm hoping to get in on my first try. A friend of mine years back got in on her first attempt. ahh, .. I am just now going to take my teas on may 30th. I spoke to the counselor and she said as long as I do fine 70 or higher on Teas I should make the lottery. Not sure though, do you know how many points you had?
ohh and congrats!!!!
Hi guys ..
I'm not sure if anyone would be able to answer my question but just in case the people who got selected know the answer ..
So i spoke to someone in the Allied Health department and they said applications would be taken Sept 1-28 but that it was for the program starting in 2019 .. did I understand that right or did she mean 2018?
When I talked to the nursing counselor, she had told me that the cut off score was 50 points. Basically, you need a strong GPA score or a strong TEAS score to get in the lottery.
When did you speak to the counselor? Which counselor did you speak to? I spoke to her a while back and she said they were not releasing how many points were needed anytime soon, plus the point system isn't available for us to see, it doesn't state how many points we get per section! I tried making another appt yday but they were booked by 8 ..
I spoke to the counselor with dark brown hair. I forgot what's her name, but she was very helpful in explaining what I needed to do to get a better score to get in the lottery. I had applied for this Fall 2017 but was rejectes due to my score just being a couple numbers shy from 50 points. I don't think she wanted students who are just applying to know what the cut-off score is currently.
