Has anyone taken the free Kaplan seminar that includes test taking strategies and a practice test? Can't seem to find any testimonials on their website about it.

If its free, why not try it :) best things in life are free..
Only because it would take away from actual 'study' time if it's a waste. I don't want to get down there and have it be a 'plot' to get me to buy stuff.
Im reviewing at kaplan right now, im not sure how it is there (im in the philippines, goin back to new jersey next month)..when they hold a free seminar here, they just go through the basic strategies, in order to come up with the correct answer, its helpful! :)

You know beforehand that it is going to be an arm twisting sales session. I've read here somewhere that someone said the lady presenting could not even answer questions about the rationales behind test questions. I would pass on it if it were me.
Thanks! That's what I was afraid of. I think I would be better off at home doing my own practice exams and focused study.

Next month will be too late for me! (I hope!) If I was going to go, it'd be this Wednesday!
they do have something on the 23 of june. and i did notice that they offer free seminars online.
hopes this helps
Yup! I was going to go on the 23rd in Lansing, but decided not to. I think I'll be better off on my own!!
I went to the seminar and I thought it was great! They had a couple of preselected questions, that they went over, and they stressed the need to study "analysis and application type questions" They even offered a 50 question nclex practice test with rationales, an offered a discount if you signed up for the course on that day. I know this comes too late from some people who are testing, but it might be ontime for others :)
