Freaking out and Idk what to do........

Okay, I am a full time student and I work full time. I am doing well in all my classes except for Biology. For some reason or another I just can't grasp it. Currently I am in Bio 101 and we are learning the basics, mieosis and mitosis. Easy enough, right? Well not for me. Can anyone suggest study habbits for Bio. I currently make index cards and type my lecture notes but it seems like I need differnet ways to study. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

it helped me to get with some other classmates and just start drilling questions at each other, sometimes it can get a little silly and you have fun but its the silly things that can help you remember.
