Now picture this the smell was the worst i have ever smelled, then we got his shirt off and realized that he had a colstomy, and it was covered with a plastic grocery bag!!!!!!! this man was also intoxicated.needless to say the bag wasnt helping!!!!
  3. I took my course through a nursing home that offered it and a job. I know my school also offers a cna course as well so i would check the local community colleges then look at some nursing homes. GOOD LUCK!!:)
  4. i suggest trying a nursing home I know its not the best place to work but it can help with the skills and getting used to the terms and sometimes the meds if you can find a cool rn that wouldnt mind helping you out.( letting you look at the meds sheet and asking questions.) also it would show them that your serious.
  5. it helped me to get with some other classmates and just start drilling questions at each other, sometimes it can get a little silly and you have fun but its the silly things that can help you remember.
  6. When I did it they had uniforms and they required a watch. they provided everything else but you might want to get your own steth and bp. :)
