Hi all, so I'm thinking about jumping on board with Foundation Medical and was wondering if any of you have worked for Foundation or are currently working for them? If so I would like your opinion on them or what are some of the things I need to watch out for or avoid in the negotiating process (salary, housing, stipend, poor assignments ect). I've been with Davita doing acute HD and PD for 2 years now and this will be my first time as a traveler but I wanted to ask around first to hear what others had to say about the good, the bad and the ugly lol.

They recruited me for HD chronic position about 5 years ago, I have not really heard bad things about them. I do know it depends on your recruiter

I worked for Foundation for 4 years, I got good assignments for the most part. I let them find my housing and was usually well pleased,I requested a different place to stay a couple of times, and they would change it. It's true it depends on your recruiter and the 2 I worked for have left the company.
Don't do pay per treatment as they could never get my time correct, I think I probably lost some money on the one assignment I did pay per.
I left in good standing 4 years ago, and they still call me from time to time, wanting to place me. They actually paid for a flight to Texas and the hotel and rental car for me when I interviewed for a position about 2 years ago.
Before I started travelling, I was the director of a large acute program, and used Foundation nurses in my unit, they all were good dependable nurses!
thank you for the information, it was most helpful

Foundation is a really efficient, professional company. You will be taken care of, but you may not be paid competitively speaking. But companies that pay better can also be more unreliable and unorganized. Foundation is a very reliable company that has their act together. They are very difficult to negotiate with... But I would recommend them for sure! If all you care about it $$, you could shop around, but you may be disappointed in the organization of other agencies.
