Hey everyone I'm starting this post to see who is applying to the fall 2018 LPN program at forsyth. If you are what option are you choosing (day or weekend)? and what is your total amount of points.
As long as your techlink changed from "Gen Occup Tech-Practical Nursing" to "Practical Nursing Diploma" you dont have to be paranoid.. The mail will take way longer to arrive than a quick change online.
Thank you , I asked to join the 2018 graduates LPN group on FB. IM wondering if maybe I can get my hands on a syllabus or course outlined to prepare during the summer.
If you go to techlink and type nursing in the corner on the search bar then press the first thing that comes up. It should say "nursing" then from there it has a side bar that says Student Policy books and it has the policy book for Practical Nursing. I found in the policy book information on estimated costs for the whole program! :)
Does everyone tech link change at the same time if they get in? Or can it take a couple of days for others to find out if they got in or not? From previous forums that I have read, it seems like that was the case with other people, some found out closer to the beginning of March and some didn't found out to the last week of March but I don't know if things have changed but just curious if anyone knows anything!
Hey hsnursing , would you happen to still have a syllabus or course outline that you could share with us so we can start to study the material over the summer ?
Hey RNV2022,
I don't have a syllabus, but I am not sure if it would help even if I did. There was a Facebook group made for the 2017 LPN class, and the students who were on main campus would post about things that the Stokes campus either hadn't learned yet or had already learned, and finally everyone figured out that both campuses are on different schedules and have different syllabuses. From what I've heard, the biggest thing that should be studied is dosage calculations. If you are able to go ahead and get a Calculating with Confidence textbook, even if it's an older one, I would recommend doing that because it's super helpful!
