That's a good point range. Reading the packet I read that people in the past few years have gotten in with total points in the 80's range. I have 25 points without the teas test. I still need to do my mar review. I'm trying to decide between medical assisting or lpn. I really want to start working as soon as possible. I've been a cna for years and it's time to move on. Which campus are you wanting to attend? Main or stokes?
Main campus. I think both programs take the same amount of time. Lpn would give you more variety in your work where as medical assistants just do Docter office work. As an Lpn you would have more opportunities to grow in your career. Just throwing out some ideas. Does Forsyth allow you to apply for both? If so, you could go with whichever you get into. Good luck :)
I'm running a little behind, I still need to do the mar review and take the teas which I may not do until early February. I was told I had to send another transcript from fall semester when I went up there the first time to do my mar review I was bummed. I applied for the medical assisting program at another school as a back up plan.
Hi! I've just found this thread. I too did my MAR Review this week and have 36.5 points. I'm going to take the TEAS in February so will let you all know my total points afterward. I'm hoping to make at least a 70, but on practice exams I've been making in the 80s. I'm still amazed that 42% is considered passing the TEAS! Crazy! Wish me luck!

There isn't a thread yet for the students applying to the fall 2016 lpn program. I was just curious about everyone's experience so far. I take my teas test on November 17th and I currently have 31 points from related courses. Has anyone already taken their teas test? How many points do you have? Im shooting for at least a 70 on the teas but I heard it's very difficult so I'm stressing a lot. Looking forward to hearing from you guys! good luck.
