Forsyth Tech ADN Spring 2017

Anyone on here planning on applying to the ADN Spring 2017 program at Forsyth Tech? I believe the deadline to apply will be in late September.

Glad to see you started a thread for Spring '17. I am planning to apply as well. Have you completed all of your pre-reqs?

Yes, though I am going to take ENG 114 online over the summer. I have a C in ENG 112 so I want to make better grade for more points. I am also planning on retaking the TEAS in the Fall in hopes of getting a higher score. I have 156 total points right now but I want to have at least 166 when I apply. What about you? I also need to retake my CPR class sometime this fall as well.

I have A's in all of my classes but my TEAS scores are expired so I have to take that again. I applied 4 years ago but was put on the alternates list and never called. I still haven't seen them post an updated requirements document for spring 2017 so I hope nothing else changes.

I am also going to apply for spring '17. I live an hour away, in Charlotte but I'll take the drive over waiting for fall of '17 if I can get in. I have all my pre-reqs done as well and the only C I have is also in English 112. I thought about taking that class over, maybe I should.

It may be too late for you to take ENG 114 over at this point as all classes being considered for points for the ADN program must be completed by the of Summer session (which is mid July). That class would only give you an extra six points if you made an A anyway so if you have good grades in all other pre-reqs I think you should be fine! If you look at the MAR Review packet that is on the Forsyth Tech ADN website page the lowest amount of points that was accepted into the program for the Fall of this year was 142. I have 162 right now so I'm feeling pretty confident! How about you all...how many points do you have?

If I use my old TEAS scores from a few years ago I'll have 176 points. Obviously my TEAS scores have expired so I'll have to retake it after my MAR review. I hope I score similarly this time around.

I wonder when the information session for spring '17 will be up?? I hope they're not holding out so that we must take the new ATI Teas! All I have been working on as a study guide is the Teas V. I understand the new ATI Teas is harder... :(

The new nursing information session for MAR review is already up on their website as well as the new admissions requirement packet.

Sorry, you're right. I was looking at something different! I'm going to call them tomorrow to see when it is up. MAR Reviews are supposed to start this week for Spring 2017 so I don't know why it's not up yet.

I will be applying to to the Spring Semester as well, I look forward to getting back in the books after a year out. I need to take the teas test again to get more points, but I have all my prerequisites except the computer course.

I've heard back from the nursing admissions and they said that the Online Information Session pdf should be up within the next few days! When does everyone plan to do their MAR Review?
