Forsyth/Guilford Tech Spring 2012

Anyone applying for Spring 2012 Gtech or Ftech adn program? The deadlines are fast approaching and I would like to compare points etc since this is the first semester to enter using the TEAS V. I have around 150 points at Ftch...anyone applying now have something similar? More? Less? My nerves are about to get the best of me if the deadline doesn't roll around soon!! :uhoh3:

Yep... although I have to take my state test before NOV 11 for CNA- that has me slightly nervous!!

you will do fine. I took the class 12 yrs ago when i was in nursing school in 2001 and didn't keep my CNA up to date since I'm already a Certified Medical Assistant I felt no need to, then once i applied to nursing school and realized i had to have the CNA active so i called the state board and they told me to challenge the test and i did and passed, so u should b fine cause i have not had any refresher class or no CNA classes since 2001. Good Luck. The one thing if i do get in is taking the CPR class, it bores me to death and i have also let that go non updated as well. I just never thought i ever decide to apply to put myself back in HELL again. Sorry, but that is what nursing school is, Medical Assisting school was hard at GTCC as well but not as hard as the nursing program they are hardcore. Good Luck to us all and even more Good Luck to us if we make it pass the getting in point for us to finish. Praying tomorrow is a great day.....for all of us.:p

you just reminded me of my CPR status... I need to take a course by Feb. that's when mine runs out.

ok so not to be the bearer of bad news, but a friend of mine heard back from Ms. S in admissions and was told those accepted had around the same points as they did last semesters. So for me that's not good new since I didn't get the same points I received last semesters. There were a total of 300 applicants ranked and all letters has gone out. The whole process is going to take 3 weeks.

300 applicants! Wow! And they only accept 30-40. So what were the points last year!? Does anyone know? And yes, you're right, that's definitely some potentially discouraging news. :( Let's hope not though!

ooh no hon, that was info for FTCC not GTCC. From what Jodie from admission told me about GTCC they had around 100 applicants :-)

They were around 157 -191 ..i had 154.3 then and was no. 7 on the alt list. I think you have at least a good chance of being on that list.

Oh thank goodness! I REALLY got worried there for a sec (more than I already am)! LOL! So does anyone know when GTCC will start sending out their letters?

I got an email back on MOnday from one I sent in September saying Gtcc's letters should go out this week, so keep a look out!
