The various state board of nursing websites list those who have licenses to practice in that state, not who has passed the NCLEX. Passing the NCLEX is one requirement for licensure, but it is not the same as getting licensed. You would not appear on a state BON site until you have submitted an application for licensure, including documentation that you've passed the NCLEX, and been granted a license to practice in that state.

All depends on the state you took licensure with. If Ca you will not see your name on website until you provide SSN which you will not get until in the US with a valid work permit.
