Foreign Nurses Coming To Us

HEY GUYS, I JUST NOTICED LATELY A LOT OF OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS (NURSES)NOT ONLY FILIPINOS ARE NOW HERE ESPECIALLY FROM INDIA, SAME PROCESS THEY ARE UNDERGOING, ACTUALLY WE ARE JUST ORIENTING 5 OF THEM RIGHT NOW IN OUR UNIT, IM ACTUALLY PRECEPTING 1 OF THEM, WELL NOW WE ARE VERY MULTINATIONALS ION OUR UNIT;) , ALOT OF US ARE PINOYS, 5 INDIANS TO ADD, MEXICANS, ACTUALLY ON THE NIGHT SHIFT W/C I WORK, ONE OF OUR PATIENT COMMENTED TO ONE OF THE WHITE NURSE " FINALLY I HAVE AN AMERICAN NURSE" BUT THEN THAT NURSE STARTED TO TALK GUESS WHAT W/ A HEAVY BRITISH ACCENT

that's funny. i met a pinay nurse working north ct and she tells me she gets all kinds of remarks from her elderly patients..."oh, my, why do i get the hawaiian nurse again..." ..."are you japanese???"...some will go as far as commenting the hospital seems an altogether different country with all kinds of languages they get to hear.

That's funny. Atleast you can celebrate United Nations Day anytime.

I wish i can work in New York again. I love the diversity i've seen in hospital teams. Though coming from different countries - having that multicultural diversity and attitudes- their commonground is still their dedication to work as Nurses. I love New York and its diversity.;)

I love New York, and might consider New Jersey and California, too....;)
