Foreign NCLEX application in IL

World Registration

Updated:   Published

Hi fellow nurses! I am just starting with my NCLEX application process and I am encountering lots of problems . I tried to read threads but some are outdated way back 06's and made me more confused. So here's the thing. I am a licensed Filipino nurse but currently residing in IL. Maybe you guys can help me...

1. I passed my CES on CGFNS and it said 'Meets all program requirements' and on the status it says 'Waiting for approval'. What does that mean?

2. I also requested CT-NUR at PRC and they gave it back to me after I filed it up. I thought it said do not return to applicant? Can I myself send it to Continental Testing or I don't need it cause my CES report indicates my licensure validity?

3. On the 4-page application form on part III, It was asking how many years in college did I completed, you see I transferred fr 2 different schools, should I just do the same thing I did on my CES report and only indicate my school where I graduated and my years there?

4. Also, on part III, what should I put on the specialized training? I totally have no idea.

5. On part VII, what should I answer on a-b-c?

6. Lastly, can I get my fingerprint even though I haven't passed my application on CT?

Any answers would really be helpful! I'm so clueless, I needed some guidelines. THANK YOU!

I'm also here in IL. Just wait for the approval, usually 1 month, more or less. You may print the report for your records. Always check your order status on cgfns.org. Is this for examination or for endorsement? If for examination, they should be the one sending the forms to CTS. You still need CT-NUR for CTS. Indicated the different schools you went to, same thing I did. Just leave the space blank for the specialized training if you don't have any. I think you can also go to fingerprint vendors for your livescan. You need the receipt from the vendor together with your application to be submitted to CTS. Hope these helps.

Hi becky, wouldnt I be questioned if in CES report I only have 1 school and then on the application two already? or it's already understood? Also, It is for examination, they gave it to me without a question. What should I do with it :( BTW, yesterday CGFNS sent me an email informing me that they mailed it on IDFPR/CT, so I think I'll just have to do the application next. ? Thank you very much for your time!

I'm having a little bit of problem with the fingerprinting.

How so? Are your fingers not able to provide good prints (I know someone like that)? Are you not able to get the documents required to fingerprint? Do you not know what to fill out?

More information would be good.

Yes, you need to. Unless, you're a US citizen then I think it can be waived.

Hi everyone. i would also like to ask regarding some parts in the four-page application for nclex. in part I, in the licensure method, i was a bit confused on what to write on it. as you can see, there is an online and paper application, right? so in the online method, only the cts method is the option which is $91 while in the paper application, we have 2 options in the reference chart given, the cts and ncsbn. so i would like to know which one should i put on my four-page application? should i follow the one in the online application which is the cts or should i put the ncsbn instead? and regarding part VII, on the examination and test codes, should i also follow what is written in the online application or leave it blank and just put the 'See ED-NUR' on the space provided instead? hoping for your reply. thank you so much. :)
