Foreign Graduate (Philippines-Baguio) planning to take NCLEX CA

Hello Everyone.

I am a graduate from the Philippines specifically in Baguio City and planning to take the NCLEX in California. May I know who here applied and were eligible to take the NCLEX? What were the documents that the CA BON needed?

Do you have a US SSN? If yes then answers to your questions will be on their website. If the answer is no then you will need to look at another state until you have a US SSN

First, you need to have a Social Security Number in the US to proceed. Another hurdle is, most of those who applied to take the NCLEX are required to take classes because Board of Nursing have some issues on the deficiencies .

Good luck on that and let me know if you have questions. I also took that path and I was one of the lucky people who didn't require to take deficiency subjects.

Thank you so much! I have read other forums as well and the CA BON do have a lot of requirements. One of which is the international verification form. How do you process this? Thank you!

I think if you're a foreign graduate, BON requires to verify from your school.

If you mean US ITIN then yes.

Information is on their website. You can apply online as well through Breeze. If you are here in California and you have Social Security Number (SSN) or US TIN, then you can apply here in California. If you are still in the Philippines and is just applying while being there, California is not a good choice for you. There are other US states that don't require SSN. Good luck.
