Hello!
I am a nursing student graduating in March studying in the Philippines. I'm an American citizen so i don't need a visa. I do however just have a few questions regarding the process to practice as an RN in Illinois being a foreign graduate. In order to obtain licensure in IL it states that there are 3 requirements: 1)CES Report; 2)TOEFL; and 3)NCLEX. As soon as I graduate I'd like to return back to the States and work ASAP. Here are my questions:
I'd greatly appreciate any reply/answer or suggestion of websites that might be able to answer my questions. Thank You and Godbless!

Not sure about the English exam that may be something you have to take up with BON but you do not need to pass local boards unless BON requirements are for a license. For further courses once in the US I doubt you will have any problems but would suggest when you get CES done you apply for the full course and you may have to follow requirements of foreign trained, which to be honest you will probably have to do every time you move and register with other states.

if the state requires you to have a local license, AND you are a former natural born filipino, you can get a dual citizenship...then you can take the local board...

As far as the CRNA goes. On my unit they want you to have 2 years experience in your area of specialty before you can start the CRNA process.
