hi i would like to ask how can i challenge the board of vocational nurse in california? i took nclex-rn many times and i am frustrated to work already. i would like to know how can i take the test for vocational nurse here in california? im foreign graduate nurse from phils. what are the steps i need to do in order to take board of licensed vocational nurse ? any advice will be highly appreciated...pls...

Were on the same boat.just got letter from board of vocational.and had to send back my application.endorsed your BRn papers to board of vocational.contact brn or req your papers through letter and you have to give them 30dollars to forward your papers at Lvn board

Or you can just apply directly to the BVNPT for an LVN license application. Fill out the application, pay the fee, then prepare to take the NCLEX-PN.

heard that CA BRN is getting strict with Phil. grad nurses. I am a BSN, took the NCLEX-RN 3x but failed. I re-applied for the 4th time and I received a letter asking me to send them a copy of my clinical cases. I am getting frustrated so I am considering taking LVN exaM. So do I call the LVN boards and request for endorsement of my papers from BRN?

No. They won't transfer them. Go online to the BVNPT website, and fill out an application for the NCLEX PN license. All of the instructions are there.

yeah just go to their website and everything is there. I just started mine too. Now I'm waiting for my papers from pinas so i can submit all together. good luck!

i submitted last aug and still no reply..its absurd..u better start ur application now..method 2 i think..equivalent education

It's the equivalency of nursing education(method 3).Don't worry,mine took 5 months to get my eligibility.

I think i will not do the LVN and go to CSU Fresno (if it pushes through, hopefully) it is only 12 weeks. I talked to them already..so fingers crossed..hoping for the best!
